$5.5 MILLION MORE FOR THE BAGSSSSSS 🧳💸

Another $5.5M FAA grant is going toward PSP’s new baggage handling system, bringing total federal funding to $66.5 million — more than 70% of the $93.6 million project.

Translation? More capacity for bags, faster + more reliable sorting, modern security standards + infrastructure built to handle a busier PSP.

Peak desert glamour, circa 1994. 🌄

As we continue celebrating the 50th anniversary of Gensler Los Angeles, we’re looking back at our 1994 expansion of Palm Springs International Airport. Designed as “America’s Resortport,” the terminal intentionally blurs the line between indoors and outdoors with palm trees growing inside and white sails overhead filtering the desert sun. The terminal embraces the desert’s climate, welcoming travelers with the essence of Palm Springs before they step outside.
