What if your cross-country cruiser only needed 200 feet of runway?

The Zenith CH 750 Super Cruzer combines elements of the CH 750 Super Duty and Cruiser, pairing a cruise speed of around 120 mph with an 800-pound useful load, impressive short-field performance, and excellent visibility.

Zenith CEO Sebastien Heintz takes us through the aircraft and shows how speed, payload, range, and versatility come together in one very capable airplane. Watch more and the link in our bio. by @flywithaopa

Not every view of a national park comes from a hiking trail.

Redtail is the only air tour operator permitted to fly directly over Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, giving customers a special view of canyons, rock formations, and national parks – some who may otherwise be unable to see the terrain through conventional means.

We went along to find out what makes access to this terrain so unique by @flywithaopa

What does “final authority” actually mean when you’re the pilot in command?

In the first installment of Ask AOPA, we break down PIC authority. From deciding whether a runway’s crosswind is within your personal minimums to knowing when you can deviate from an ATC clearance or instruction, it’s all part of the responsibility that comes with being PIC.

Have an aviation question you want answered next? Let us know in the comments. by @flywithaopa

Emily Herron is a third-generation, instrument-rated pilot. When she's not flying the Piper J-3 Cub that's been in her family since 1946, she's managing the @hendersonkyairport – overseeing emergency services, flight training, maintenance, economic development, and more.

See firsthand how much a local GA airport can contribute to the people and businesses around it.

Most wilderness adventures begin when you arrive. At Isle Royale Seaplanes, they begin at takeoff. Accessible only by boat or aircraft, one of America’s least-visited national parks sits surrounded by the vast waters of Lake Superior.

Isle Royale provides the experience to discover Lake Superior and surrounding nature. For some, this is a once in a lifetime experience. by @flywithaopa

Training for remote mission aviation means preparing pilots for environments with little margin for error.

During JAARS’ annual Mountain Week in North Carolina, new mission pilots put their skills to the test at Strawberry Ridge Airstrip in Little Switzerland. The 1,100-foot, one-way airstrip features a steep slope and drop-offs on both sides, creating a challenging landscape and strong visual illusions.

Ride along with JAARS Chief Pilot and flight instructor Steve Bevelhymer for a bird's-eye view of the demanding Carolina terrain. by @flywithaopa

What if your next destination didn't need a runway?

Tom Ford's completely restored 1968 Piper Super Cub can take him there on wheels, skis, or an especially rare set of Edo floats—one of only 13 sets ever produced.

With Alaska Airframes components like aluminum struts, extended flaps, and a ground-adjustable propeller, the Super Cub's versatility gives Tom access to remote corners of New Hampshire and Maine.

Whether it's to explore or to assist other pilots with disabled aircraft, maintaining accessibility to these places matters. That's why AOPA, the Seaplane Pilots Association, and the Recreational Aviation Foundation have worked together in New Hampshire to help protect waterways for recreational float flying.

Training is there for the moments when something doesn’t add up.

On an IFR flight in a Piper Arrow, the students and instructor aboard watched their indicated airspeed bleed off. Thanks to a calm perspective, Mary thought to cross-check the rest of the panel and quickly realized it was because pitot heat had not been turned on when entering IMC conditions.

Watch the full ASI video to see why staying calm and trusting your training can make all the difference in a precarious situation. by @flywithaopa
