The last few weeks have been incredible and jam packed with work, my best friends and some new ones, family, and so many adventures. I’m just darn grateful. Gotten to fly some amazing new birds, and now I want my rotorcraft. Feels good to be back in these beautiful hollers and hills for a few days. There really are few places like West by God Virginia in the fall by @flywithevan_

I am not the same as I was. I’ve got new purpose. The carnage and devastation in WNC specifically is heartbreaking and the need is so great! This past week I had the opportunity to stay at the Avery County Airport in Spruce Pine, NC - right in the middle of some highly affected areas. The people I met this week at camp were some of the most like-minded, selfless, and driven leaders I’ve ever seen together in one location. The goal was the same for everyone, to help these communities, hollers, and hills in any way they needed that we could make happen. We flew helicopter and airplane missions into impossible to reach by road areas, received and sent out critical life sustaining supplies to those stranded and in need, sent out search and rescue teams by the dozens, provided medical care on-site and via house calls on UTV’s, and cared for people in the best way we knew how, by showing the love of Christ and coming together as WE THE PEOPLE. If you’ve been considering stepping up to serve the ppl of WNC specifically, please reach out to me. THIS IS YOUR SIGN! HELP IS NEEDED! COME NOW!! And for a long time ahead. It will take years to recover. Hundreds and hundreds lost their lives, the missing probably aren’t coming back at this point and may never be found as new earth has been created, entire lives changed forever, properties non existent, power/water/internet won’t be back in some places for months and months, all caused by the destructive power of wind and water. And it’s worse than what you’re hearing. Personally, I’ve never seen anything like it. Pray for the people of WNC and all those affected by these terribly destructive storms.
