RISE AND SHINE EVERYONE☀️

It's time for our biggest gane yet vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide!

This week for halftime, we bring back the Movie Music Show for the final time with "Another Day of Sun," "Golden," and "Defying Gravity."

100 years ago, Mississippi State hosted Alabama in a home game in Meridian. The "Famous Forty" Marching Band took the field with flashy, tradition-breaking maroon pants. A reporter famous exclaimed, "there goes that Famous Maroon Band!" And so, the name stuck and eventually became the official name of the band. Yet another defining moment to reminisce about in what has already been a memorable 2026 season. by @fmbaritones

Tomorrow we continue the 2026 season away @ Minnesota! The band will not travel, but we'll support or dawgs from the couch💪😤

On September 20, 2001, Mississippi State hosted South Carolina in what was the first major college football game played after the attacks on 9/11. The photo above shows the football team holding the U.S. flag as the Maroon Band performs "America the Beautiful" in an emotional pregame performance.

Our first halftime show this season is the Movie Music show, featuring music from La La Land and Kpop Demon Hunters.

We will be joined by over 300 high school students as we perform Michael Jackson's Thriller!
