We live in a time where we are inundated with bad news about the environment, and about business owners cutting corners with their food products, putting our health at risk so meeting a brand owner like Lindsay @rebrothbonebroth makes me so happy. Her consideration for tending to details that only benefit all of us and our Mama Earth is trully a wonderful thing. Here are some highlights about their very special bone broth: 🪺 their cows only graze on certified regenerative land verified by @audubonsociety to contribute to nesting on the land and a growing bird population. This is a farming practice that goes above and beyond to contribute yo an entire ecosystem of life there. 🐄 Their bone broth is the only @amergrassfed certified broth - a certification that is verified by the @usdagov 🐮 Their cows have only grown up on their mamas milk and this gorgeous land. No auction-bought cows they grew up eating and drinking goodness knows what. Their cows also live three to five years longer than other cows:) 💦 They wait until their broth is cool to package if in their plastic pouches! How f’ing thoughtful is this? I absolutely love this attention to detail and level of consideration. 🧂Their salt is lead-free. Lindsay educated me on how most salt used in commercial products contains lead!!! 🐶 Pet-Friendly. Rebroth has one blend that is safe for pups. Make sure to ask her for it when you meet her at the market. . You can find Lindsay at many socal farmers markets. It had been so long since I have been to the Main Street @smfms and I have to say it was such a treat. It’s booming there with some of my favorite farmers like @avilaandsonsfarms @smith.farms @freckerfarms @yaochengfarm @azranch @cuyamaorchards @fatunclefarms and so many more!!! Also, I discovered a new favorite @gourmetspecialties who grows most of their greens in a greenhouse so no worries about pests, and on the land they use garlic spray! Their stand is beautiful and overflowing with tarragon, chervil, basil, chives, oregano and mint and a wide variety of greens, squashes and tons of passion fruit. . I also met @lamarketmama who shops the market for her clients! She was such a pleasure! Definitely check her out. . In 2002 when I moved to Venice Beach, I arrived on Saturday September 7th and the next day, Sunday, I walked down Main Street to this market. This was the beginning of my love affair with the markets in Los Angeles. Since then I’ve traveled far and wide in this spread out metropolis and found the farmers markets within its neighborhoods. Before long I came to know so many of the farmers that make their way down to LA to sell their bounty and this is why my friends called me a farmers market groupie🥕💛 . If you’re in Santa Monica definitely stop by the Main Street farmers market. You will love it :) Xo E by @fmgroupie

Thank you @olive.odyssey for making it possible for us across the world to have olive oil from Palestine - from the women farmers there and those that honor ancient traditions in their rituals when harvesting and pressing. These oils are a most special gift, unlike anything. I am so blessed to have these precious oils and to be able to feed my body with them - nourishing, uplifting and transforming it - if even for a moment. . The @marvistafarmersmarket is turning 20—and we’re celebrating this Sunday! 🎉 Come join me at the market for a special 45-minute anniversary tour and learn how I stumbled among this market 15 years ago. I even had a booth teaching market-goers how to prepare the seasonal bounty while selling my chili oil and spice kit. 🌶️ On Sunday, come taste, explore and meet some of my favorite farmers and food purveyors—the people whose beautiful food, knowledge and passion make this market so special. 🍎 I’ll be your guide, introducing you to some of the people I love visiting each week and sharing a few of my favorite market discoveries along the way. 🥕 The market’s Birthdaypalooza runs from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., with live music, contests, prizes and plenty of delicious things to eat. 💃🏻 My tour begins at 11 a.m. and is offered by donation. I’m always sharing What’s in Your Tote, so thought it only fair that you get a peek what’s in mine 🍇🍓🥬🥔🍎 . The recipes I’m working on have been in my mind for a few weeks. One is a stuffed cabbage -each purple leaf filled with mashed red potato, mushrooms and buttered leeks and then braised in chicken stock and herbs. I can’t wait. Then I am making a crepe cake. Inspired by @ladymcakes, this will be layered w Diplomat Cream, fresh strawberries and rhubarb syrup soaked sponge cake. I am hosting Crêpe Night next month and this will be the pièce de résistance. @marvistafarmersmarket Xo by @fmgroupie
