I’m not a political person and this is NOT a political post, but it is pretty cool to have received this letter from the @whitehouse once I shared my retirement plans internally with Michelin. Not sure how they knew, I guess maybe they’re watching and listening to us. 👀When this showed up in my mailbox, I planned to share it once retired but I first had fun including it in my spoof video of @travispastrana asking me to join him to ride at the White House. 🤣Sure, there are far too many issues with our government (all parties) and so many could/should be fixed in our country, but we’re blessed to have the freedoms we have in this great nation, thanks to the sacrifices of so many. 🇺🇸🙌Thankfully, I don’t put my faith in any politician or party as all of my Faith rests in God! 🙏And if yours isn’t there, I’d recommend trying it.😉 by @fmip222

1999 - 2026I had the honor of being Brownie’s mechanic at Red Bud ‘99 when he was a 125cc guest rider on the @jackinthebox / @fcsuspension Team. I’m grateful we’re still close friends all these years later. Countless great memories, laughs, and too many broken bones to count. by @fmip222

After a lot of thought, Prayers and triple checking the Math with my Financial Advisor, I have made the most difficult decision of my Michelin career… to retire. I’ve had the distinct honor of working for this prestigious brand for 35+ years with 27+ of those in our Two Wheel division. I began working rotating swing shifts as a Maintenance Technician at one of our raw material manufacturing facilities before moving into an Engineering / Project Management role a few years later. During that time, I began racing SX and discovered that we made motorcycle tires and I began using them. In Apr ‘95, I was the first rider to use Michelin tires in an AMA SX Main Event (18th in Charlotte 125cc). I moved into the Two Wheel dept as a Technical Liaison in late ‘95 and in ‘97, I helped organize shipments of Michelin tires for @dv934 who was the first to win AMA SX’s on Michelin in ‘97.In 2000, I began managing our SX/MX & Off-Road racing when kellydsmith7 and @pulpmx won KTM’s first AMA MX. From then thru ‘09, I had to honor of working with @ktmusa riders the likes of @mikelafferty22 @wattys125 @russellbobbitt @knighter_101 @salminen111 and the late @kurtcaselli66 as they won numerous AMA Enduro, Hare & Hound, GNCC and other Championships. In SX/MX, working with KTM’s @narayanasel , we were only a couple laps and one broken wheel away from @grantlangston8 winning the 125cc AMA MX title in ‘01. With Suzuki’s @realrogerdecoster @iharrison71 , we won the ‘01 and ‘03 125cc East SX titles with riders @travispastrana and Brandon Jesseman respectively. In ‘02, I convinced France to make custom yellow and blue StarCross tires (using silica rubber, not paint) for Travis and @mikemetzger to use in Gravity & X Games. We later commercialized them and we sold dozens of them. OK, hundreds of them. I really thought the idea would’ve taken off. 🤦🏻‍♂️I worked with @farm14mx ‘s Kevin Windham in ‘03 during his come back season and with my longtime buddy @browniemx in ‘05 who led much of the MX championship for much of that year. Continued…At the end of ‘05, I moved into Sales and began managing one of our growing Distributors, @wps.global Working with their Reps, together by @fmip222
