Can’t believe I have a 16-year-old! A whole junior in high school. Super fortunate and grateful you are a part of my life, I get to watch you grow and progress as a human, really wild experience so far and I’m pumped to see what the future holds for you! I love you so much kiddo. Proud of the young man you’re turning into. Hope you enjoyed seeing the fam out in Idaho. Happy birthday weekend. #priorities #mivida by @fnfrostgiant

Huge life achievement! Last weekend I had the honor of being promoted to black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with @addumbz under @sabre_bjj , by Coach @chamurai76 and Coach @anthonysonnyramos . Very special day to me and all of us that call @train4lifecenter home, as it was also the 10 year anniversary of Train4Life and the official grand opening of Train4Life 3.0. This belt serves as a direct reflection of the perseverance, mental fortitude, discipline, and commitment to excellence one grows along this journey. It never was about the belt. I thought for a while I’d be “stuck” at blue forever (nothing wrong with that, by the way). To me, this belt also represents community and surrounding yourself with like-minded people we can all grow with. It represents we can all overcome adversity. Through all the doubts and hard life lessons learned on and off the mat. Doesn’t matter, we just keep getting better and growing. Consistency and discipline is what will move us through to a better life. I remember walking into a gym at 16, where I started my journey chasing my dream of being an MMA fighter. I remember being 16, a brand new father, trying to sober up off some real despicable habits and various substances. Jiu Jitsu was just a meant to help me beat people up at that point. I remember being the awkward, uncoordinated guy (still uncoordinated, lol) with a chip on my shoulder. Through the years of training, I further embraced the art of jiu jitsu. I’ve gained and lost many people amongst this journey, one of my first main coaches passed away when I was a blue belt, I’m sure I at least got a grin out of @judojitsu wherever he’s watching me from. It’s not possible to fully fit everyone in this caption and fully express my gratitude for making it this far (we gonna keep growing!), but HUGE thanks to @chamurai76 @anthonysonnyramos @joebacani707 @t_jj112 @vininunesbjj and of course @judojitsu, as well as all the folks I’ve trained with along the way. You all know who you are. Love y’all, let’s keep improving. #brazilianjiujitsu #blackbelt #MMA, #train4life #sabrejiujitsu by @fnfrostgiant

Just wanna take a moment before the day is officially over to wish my amazing girlfriend a happy birthday. You’ve done so much for me I didn’t even realize someone could do for a partner emotionally and spiritually and I just really appreciate you. I love you tons and tons and hope you had an awesome day. @clarbitz_m by @fnfrostgiant

As I wrap up the first semester of my first clinical teaching experience, I just want to express how grateful I am to be able to help aspiring nurses develop into trustworthy professionals. There is still just a small amount of time left in the semester, but my group went out of their way to make sure I had extra pens, as nurses are always in need of them. Additionally, I got a best teacher mug, so that feels really good. Even if it’s a polite gesture, I feel incredibly humbled. #nursing #RN #psych #communityhealth by @fnfrostgiant

So no the dust has settled and since I’m terrible at planning now I’m taking preorders for the walkout shirt I used for my last fight. The ones we walked out with were more like prototypes because they did not have the sponsors on the back, so this next batch will of course have the sponsors on the back. Shoutout to @donavankinyon_thegoldenowl for the design and @seamswhenpigsfly for the production. Hit up @donavankinyon_thegoldenowl when you’re in Napa to get some badass tattoos (he did the majority of my tattoos as well) and contact @seamswhenpigsfly for various embroidery and other garment modification needs! T-shirts will go for $25 each, or 2 for $45. Let me know if you’re interested and contact me for details! Any support is greatly appreciated! by @fnfrostgiant
