When your definition of “basic needs” slowly evolves into a Pinterest board full of golf equipment, country club memberships, and cars you’ll convince yourself are practical because they fit your clubs. 🚗⛳️😂

Taking inspiration from Nelly Korda. Still swinging like Fientje. 🫠⛳️

MY GOLF ERA — EP. 2 🤍

Still on a mission to make consistent contact with my irons, so today I’m trying two drills:
⛳️ Hitting with my feet together.
⛳️ The Nelly Korda takeaway drill, rolling a second ball straight back before hitting the first.

Then a few regular swings to see if the practice actually translates… 👀 One good shot gets my hopes up VERY quickly, so we’re looking for consistency here. 😂

What’s your favourite iron drill? Leave it below so I can give it a try! 👇

Next episode: direction. Because hitting the ball is one thing. Getting it to go where I intended is apparently a separate skill. 🫠

We woke up with a great plan: “Let’s build a golf simulator in the attic!” ⛳️

Then came the behind-the-scenes: the bare old attic, figuring out the setup, laying down the turf mats and bringing all the equipment upstairs. And right in the middle of it all—the Garmin Approach R50, which we got the chance to test out as part of this project.

The R50 does so much more than make the setup look impressive. Its three-camera launch monitor captures detailed data on your shots, and the impact videos let you look back at what happened when the club met the ball. You can practise with purpose, work through the clubs in your bag, and even switch from training to playing a virtual round at home.

If you’re serious about improving your golf, having that kind of feedback and practice setup at home is pretty incredible. No waiting for the perfect weather or heading out to the range—just head up to the attic and get to work.

We’re so grateful we got the chance to try the approach R50. It’s made our big attic plan feel even more exciting, and we can’t wait to keep putting it to the test! 🏌️‍♀️#golfsimulator #garmingolf #garminapproachr50 #golfgirl #golfcouple by @fntjvdb

captured golf moments ⛳️📹

Little snippets from our round that I didn’t want to leave in my camera roll. The views, the laughs, the shots we’ll talk about later… and probably a few we won’t. 🤭

Welcome to My Golf Era ⛳️

A new series where I take you along while I actually learn how to golf, the breakthroughs, the bad days and everything that still makes absolutely no sense to me.

Episode one: trying to make consistent contact with my irons. Some shots made me think I’d finally figured it out… and the next one immediately corrected that assumption. 😂

No pretending to be an expert here. Just an obsessed beginner trying to get better without completely losing her mind in the process.

What’s the one golf skill you’re currently trying to improve?

Captured golf moments 🎞️⛳️

A calm day on the course: scenic views, a little golf OOTD, an unnecessary three-putt… and a quick trip to the pond to retrieve my ball. Just golf, exactly as it happened. 🤍
