The Internet has afforded me the pleasure of connecting with people I would never have met. One of them is Jim Dunlop of Florida who I met on a surfboard site. Turns out although he and I never met until a few years ago, we both started surfing around the same time just a few miles down the beach from each other. I met him at his factory where he built boards from start to finish. Be sides the quality of his work, I was most impressed with his generosity in sharing his knowledge of the craft with a backyard hack like me lol. A day at the beach included an honest to goodness rocket launch from Cape Canaveral a few miles down the road…the Starliner headed into space to deliver a couple astronauts to the International Space Station. An awesome sight!
