What if creativity wasn’t about making something beautiful… but about giving yourself permission to explore?

Creative Workshops • Flow Arts • Circus • Improv Theatre • Lyric Writing • Flowersticks • Acrobalance • Family Acro • Fire Performances

Feel welcome to play, create, discover and express at @hetgrotefijne! 🎪🎨✨ 25-30 August 2026

Paint with clay, coffee and turmeric with @rosanneversteeg, or write lyrics with @annenoor that have been waiting and wanting to be heard. Learn to juggle flowersticks and build trust through acrobatics! Step into the improv theatre of @timzeegers where there are no mistakes. Or just sit back and let yourself be amazed by a spectacular circus show by @familiavolante or the fire performance by @focusfire and @thefiremessiah!

It truly doesn’t matter if see yourself as creative or not, these workshops invite you to play, experiment and reconnect with that curious part of yourself that doesn’t need to get it right✨✨✨ you just bring your curiosity!💛

Swipe through to discover the amazing facilitators who will guide you through this colourful corner of the festival!

Even though we go deep every year, this festival surprises with the people it brings together, the fire acts watched from somewhere in the grass, the acrobatic tricks tried for the first time with wobbly arms… and this all with sooo much laughter! The workshops where you walk in not quite knowing what to expect and walk out with learned a lot of new skills and tricks! And this year? We get to do all of that again!🎪🎡

@focusfire_flowarts has been mastering flowersticks since 2009! He will bring a workshop, where you will learn to juggle with flowersticks! The workshop is open from age 4 upwards, (yeah really!) all levels welcome. In one hour you learn way more tricks than you’d expect!
After dark he performs his full fire show. Burning flowersticks, a rolling Dragonstaff, and a Charcoal Staff finale that ends in a rain of sparks and fairytale visuals!🔥✨

🎪 @la_familia_volante a circus family from the Netherlands, currently somewhere in Europe, are also heading to Het Grote Fijne Festival in August! La Familia Volante (Hans, Marieke and their 7-year-old Yara) perform clowning and acrobatics, run family acro workshops, and generally make it impossible not to smile!

Their show is by the whole family, for the whole family. Which feels like exactly the right energy for Het Grote Fijne festival!🦋

Sometimes your inner child just wants to go outside and play! And sometimes the most healing thing is just letting go!🫟🎨

Which ones would you like to try?🥰

In the meantime spring has started, as my workshop got many bookings incomming. I'm also looking forward to upcomming new collaborative projects, bridging more flowarts into the education system!

About 2 weeks ago we performed this Autumn fairytale firetheatre act, which we created in very little time. It's incredible how well it all came together in less than 3 days of preparation from scratch. I love doing this! Here's a snippet from the finale 📸
