Some dreams feel impossible when you come from where I come from.

Today, I can finally say I earned my Master of Arts in Digital Marketing & Social Media… in just 1 year.

And truthfully, this moment means more to me than just another degree.

I’m just a young man from New Jersey. I’m from a place where a lot of people don’t even get opportunities like this. I have watched people I grew up with fall victim to the system. I’ve seen people become another statistic. I’ve seen others mirror the very stereotypes that were placed on us because sometimes survival feels louder than purpose.

There were moments during this journey where I doubted myself more than anybody else ever could.

I asked myself:
“Am I really built for this?”
“Is all of this worth it?”
“Will this actually change my life?”

There were nights of exhaustion. I shedded a lot of tears in my alone time. Moments of pressure. Times where fear, doubt, and uncertainty sat heavy on my shoulders. But somewhere along the way, I realized something:
If I didn’t believe in myself, who would?

So I made a decision.
I bet on myself.
I stopped letting fear speak louder than faith.
I kept my head up when things felt heavy.
I moved with purpose, even when I couldn’t fully see the outcome.
And somehow… God kept opening doors.
This moment is emotional because this isn’t just my win.

This is for the younger version of me who didn’t know if he was enough or what he can possibly become.
This is for my family.
This is for the people back home who never got the chance.
This is for every kid who comes from environments where making it out feels rare.
Because where I’m from, people don’t always get stories like this.

First-generation college graduate
First in my family to earn a Bachelor’s degree
First in my family to earn a Master’s degree

I didn’t get here because the road was easy. I got here because I refused to quit on myself.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13

Also…. Doctorate Degree next ?

The new Eagles Nest is officially here! 🦅✨

Bigger and better things are coming to enhance the student experience at Avila University.

The Eagles Nest is more than just a space — it’s a place to relax, eat, connect with peers, get schoolwork done, host events, and feel truly supported on campus. This space reflects OSEL’s commitment to creating experiences that help our Eagles thrive.

We’re excited for students to enjoy everything this space has to offer — and this is just the beginning!

Two years ago, besides teaching as a business professor in the classroom, I said I'll commit to building something for the fellas @njcu_moci

We started with 1 (@focusotm), now we’re 208 strong and making history. 🙌🏾

In just 2 years, we’ve:
🎓 Sent 59 across the stage (biggest class yet coming 2026)
💼 Locked in $210K+ in scholarships, jobs & internships (Disney, PwC, Paramount, Metlife + more)
👟 Turned sneaker challenges, barbershops & wellness walks into leadership lessons
🎤 Brought in Grammy winners, NCAA All-Americans & top industry leaders

Beyond the numbers → these men will always be seen.
And we’re just getting started.

Lastly, it dont hurt to have dope photographers in your program. Check them out. taken in Kean Jersey City by @focusotm
