Lebbon-Emson (Elite Ferrari) win again, in a chaotic wet Race 2 🏁🌧️🚔 It’s been a crazy Race 2 at Hockenheim, as the rain, falling with varying intensity and not everywhere, reshuffled the cards right after the start, but despite the incidents and two safety car periods, the winners are far from being a surprise. Not scared by the British-like weather, the Toms made it again, clinching their fifth win of the season. Emson and Lebbon, in the Elite Motorsport Ferrari, even extended their lead in the standings up to 23 points, as their direct rivals did not have a good day. The Greystone GT McLarens took second and third, with Alejandro Geppert-McKenzy Cresswell and Zac Meakin-Dean Macdonald, the latter being the only title challengers limiting the damage. 📝📸🎞️ Friday’s Practices Repac: Hockenheim welcomed yesterday the International GT Open with sunshine and good temperatures. The beautiful late-summer Friday created the perfect conditions to hold the customary two sessions of free practice. The fastest car of the day was the AF Corse Ferrari of Rafael Durán and Tommeso Mosca, with a time of 1.38.824 obtained in the morning, which was marginally better (0s101) than the best time of session 2, posted by championship leaders Tom Lebbon-Tom Emson in another Ferrari, the one fielded by Elite Motorsport. Third-fastest behind the Toms were the Alexanders, Fach and Schwarzer in the Fach Porsche (+0s217), with the Greystone McLaren of Ollie Webb-Andrey Borodin (+0s403) in fourth. The debuting Double TT Ferrari of Leonardo Colavita-Gilles Renmans was fifth (+0s577), ahead of 296, the Olimp Racing car of Krystian Korzeniowski-Stanislaw Jedlinski (+0s609), which was the fastest car in Am ahead of another Pole, Seweryn Mazur in the Sendom Lamborghini. The other title contenders were 7th (Mansell-Götz, Motopark Mercedes) and only 18th (Armanni-Fontana, ZRS Motorsport). Förch Racing by Atlas Ward, a new team in the GT Open‼️🛡️💥 A new team from Poland is joining the International GT Open for the remaining three rounds of the season (Hockenheim, Monza and Barclona) with a view of a full campaign in 2027: Förch Racing by Atlas Ward. The squad, formed in 2010 and based in Bielsko-Biala, is known for being one of the first Polish teams to have competed in GT internationally, under the direction of his founder Robert Lukas, today retired as a driver. Förch Racing has been mostly (but not only) active in Porsche mono-brand competitions, winning the 2020 Teams’ title in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, and several titles in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland, including overall in 2022. Other achievements include a class win at the Dubai 24 Hours. The team has a tradition of fostering young talents, such as Rene Rast, Connor De Phillipi, Klaus Bächler and Dylan Pereira in the past, while Poland’s national hero Robert Kubica also drove for the team. Förch Racing by Atlas Ward is joining the GT Open at Hockenheim with a Porsche 911 GT3R for a pair of Bronze drivers, Jakub Dwernicki and Tomasz Magdziarz, who are both 48 and have experience in GT Sport-promoted series. Robert Lukas commented: “We made a single appearance in the GT Open back in 2017, at Monza, when I was still driving but that’s a very long time ago! Our team has been quite successful with the Porsche Cup cars, but now we want to revive our GT3 programme, and the GT Open is the place where we want to be, hopefully for a full campaign next year. 🚨 BREAKING NEWS! 🚨 FORCH Racing by Atlas Ward strengthens its line-up ahead of the next round of the @carreracupdeutschland ! At the legendary @nuerburgring , two new drivers will join our team: @marcusamand_ 🇫🇮 and @samshahin13 🇦🇺! Marcus is one of the most promising young talents in the Porsche programme. The current Porsche Junior, 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup France Champion and a race winner in both the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland and Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup this season. He heads to the Nürburgring sitting P6 in the championship standings. Sam brings a wealth of Porsche racing experience to the team. The Australian has claimed titles in Porsche Carrera Cup Australia ProAm and Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia, as well as a P2 ProAm finish at the Bathurst 12 Hour. To jedyny uliczny tor w kalendarzu mistrzostw, nazywany często „Frankońskim Monako”. Nitka liczy zaledwie 2,162 km i składa się z 8 zakrętów, jednak nie dajcie się zwieść – betonowe ściany są niezwykle blisko, a każde hamowanie i wyjście z zakrętu wymagają absolutnej precyzji. 🏁 Weekend complete at @dekra_lausitzring ! Round 5 of the @carreracupdeutschland delivered everything motorsport is about - extreme temperatures, intense racing and incredibly close competition. With trackside temperatures pushing the limits, the Förch Racing by Atlas Ward drivers faced a demanding weekend from the very first laps. A strong Top 10 practice result from @louisperrot , impressive overtaking from @gustavburton , and valuable experience gained by @montimaassen highlighted a weekend full of hard work and determination. In a field where just one second covered almost the entire grid, every lap, every position and every battle mattered. The team leaves Lausitzring with valuable experience, plenty of data and even more motivation for the next round of the championship.
