Meet Felecia, calligraphist and owner of FOHTA Gallery. After realizing how expensive it was to display artwork outside her home, she transformed her basement into an intimate gallery space where artists can showcase their work and connect with the community.

Today’s featured artist was Barry Barnett Keith, a talented landscape artist whose work was on display.

I love discovering people who don’t just create art, they create space for other creatives to be SEEN! ❤️

We support raising funds to add three Community Collages, created by artist Zane Killgo, to the Arlington Art Collection.

These powerful works of art will honor the stories, history, and legacy of Arlington’s three historically Black neighborhoods: HALLS HILL • GREEN VALLEY • JOHNSON’S HILL

Through art, we can preserve these stories and ensure they continue to be seen, remembered, and celebrated for generations to come. #zanekillgo #artispower #fohtagallery #nsualumni

I was invited to the opening of the Gordon Parks exhibit “Voices in the Mirror,” an exhibition on view September 18 through November 7 at Jack Shainman Gallery in Tribeca, NY

Do you know who Kehinde Wiley is?

If the answer is NO, then read the caption below. If your answer is YES…then you already know how EXCITED I was to meet him, had a brief conversation, and, of course, took a picture with him! His spirit was so approachable. I had an amazing time! More pics to come. ***************************Kehinde Wiley is a major contemporary American artist, best known for placing Black and Brown subjects into the visual language of grand, Old Master portraiture. He also painted President Barack Obama’s official presidential portrait. #kehindewiley #jackshainmangallery #feleciathecalligrapher #artispower taken in Jack Shainman Gallery by @fohta_

I’m not going to tell you how many years it’s been since I attended my beloved NSU Homecoming, but what I WILL tell you is that the NSU Spartans stomped VA-LYNCH 62–0! 💚💛🏈

And the NSU Spartan Legion Marching Band? They have NOT missed a beat! Still the BEST! BEHOLD! 🥁🎺

Walking the campus brought back so many nostalgic memories! The campus has changed tremendously, but one thing remains the same: the SPIRIT of the Spartans!

It can all be summed up in one phrase:

💚💛 BEHOLD… THE GREEN AND GOLD! 💚💛
