30hours of travel from syd to Switzerland straight Into a spontaneous unplanned foil session to wash the jet lag off. Literaly went to the closest lake to just go for a swim and bumped into these legends. Foiling community is the best!!!

Throwback session from mid 2023 🤙🏼🤙🏼 by @foilhayes

3rd and final tip in this video is mandatory.

Quick summary:

1️⃣ Slow down to speed up.

Hold a consistent line and watch what the wave is doing. Let all your speed bleed off and feel the low end of the foil.

When you think the section is about to close out, pull in as late as possible and trust the foil. Once you’re in the critical part of the wave, the foil will naturally generate speed.

Stay compressed.
Stay light on your feet.
Hold your line.

2️⃣ Choose the right foil.

If getting barreled is your goal, I genuinely believe most high-aspect foils make it harder.

Try a lower-aspect surf wing or something with a smaller wingspan.

The goal isn’t maximum speed.
The goal is maximum control while going as slow as possible.

3️⃣ No fear. No hesitation.

Back yourself.

Breathe.
Don’t panic.
Trust your training.

When you go blind inside the tube, your body already knows what to do.

Commit, trust it, and let it happen.

I wanna see more people getting tubed.

Let’s fkn go by @foilhayes

Still can’t get over this DREAMMMYY experience… i beleive it’s a world first for foiling behind a @lamborghini yacht? also was one of the first times back the board after a year of being injured - solid ankle rehab! 🤣 Massive shoutout to @simonbeard for frothing on the vision and making It happen for the crew & @kintailmedia for documenting!! what’s next?? by @foilhayes

Long story short i wanna see more people rip & push their own boundaries in a safe & respectable way 🤙🏼🤙🏼 by @foilhayes

Unbelievably grateful to feel the oceans power again after so long. missed this kinda energy more than i even knew. not meant to be pushing my ankle this much but i couldn’t resist. slowlyyyy dusting the cobwebs off at the local bombie 🕸️ @tonypalmer.photos 🎥 by @foilhayes
