Spider Summer School is officially open for business.

Choosing to be a beginner at something, especially something as hard as foiling, is no small feat, huge respect to Mike.

I come to the Bahamas every summer, it’s always so windy, but I can never get my stuff down here bc of flight limitations. Straight up serendipity, pulled up to the house to get connected in the water with a local legend who has the boards. Used the parawing as a bat signal get him to come in to talk shop. what an absolutely incredible experience crossing the pailolo channel from Maui to Molokai. In the arena with absolute legends, out alone in some big open water. supposed to be 26 miles, wanted to swing it wide and do a little extra sight seeing out in the channel.

Honestly really happy with how I foiled. Only been downwinding about 1.5 years; Living in San Diego, we don’t really ever get to downwind, this was only the third time I’ve done more than 15 miles on foil, and 5th day downwinding in Hawaii, so distance is a bit of a black box for me. Could be blind confidence frankly, but I’m so pumped about this, and left it all on the field out there. Despite bringing up the caboose, paddled up like a beast, rode the bumps well, did some fallin and some filmin. spider vibes. lot of learnings, and can’t wait to give it a rip again next year. This is a RACE, I mean these guys get after it.

insane respect to everyone who gets out there and those big hammers who crush it and go so fast. And the biggest respect on the planet for everyone who does M2O. Couldn’t imagine.

one of the coolest days of my life. thank you to the whole @m2molokaichallenge crew, to @unifoil, to Roy and Karen @kaohileash (so great to see them down there just spreading good vibes) and most importantly to @felipefoilmaui for making it possible with the sickest board ever.
