Degree show - A Synonym For Break
Phonepisteme (2023-2024)
_
City Rhythms: urban macro musicalities. Examining the production and maintenance of rhythms and tonality in the urban site through film; Music for Flight Paths. In response to Brian Eno’s Music for Airports, how can the relationship between the human and the global machine be better examined through its sonic prescience?

Almost Dancing: nightclub / traintrack / bedroom diegetic dancing (nearly).Experiments at the fringes of musical danceability through vinyl, tape and digital formats. Encoding response laden frequencies of oscillation into material product. Where do we dance, when do we ignore, what do we like?

Object Performers: non-human material performance. Exploring the notion of the material performance through three constantly performing objects. What is performance? Cyclical, observed, revered? Who / what performs? Who / what does not?

'Strata' @ The Quagmire
Herzbergstraße 125, Lichtenberg, Berlin

Clay; tools, in the ground, freed.
Clay bogs, built upon; dug within.
Crumbling concrete and rusty gears: give way to clay bodies.
Thumping. Scraping. Give way.
Falling. Screeching. Gone.

Thank you so much @lstephensart for having me at your wonderful opening night! Such a pleasure to play alongside some amazing artists and musicians.

Thanks also to @h.arveyyoung for making it happen, @surfacefictions for the feedback, advice and moral support and @sulk.r for sorting speakers and sweet talking our way into some leads and adapters!

The full piece should be up on bandcamp soon! by @folkvutur

'our boat, the Thread' at @theatredeli as part of @_voidspace_zine Live 2025.

Huge love to @_voidspace_katy for making this all happen.

'our boat, the Thread' is an installation videogame. Players steer the virtual motorboat into the underworld using a physical wooden tiller. The game tells a branching narrative of empire, queer grief, and death, with the truth shattered across three different possible endings.

A woman's lover—an uncanny psychopomp who rose to imperial power from seemingly nowhere—is dead. Our protagonist boards the motorboat they once shared, and sets off into the underworld of the lover's own creation towards an unknown end. Is this to be a reuniting in death? Does our protagonist intend to bring her back? Or has something else far more sinister occurred? taken in Theatre Deli London by @folkvutur
