Another option for our “newest” pattern, the 214 Tea Frock. I made several shirts from the pattern, and this one I made with a silk-like viscose with the flutter sleeves and a collar. One of my favorite Folkwear outfits for staying cool in the summer is our 128 Russian Settler's Dress! Loose and comfortable, and perfect made in a lightweight cotton or linen - it is a great option for a pretty and cool dress to wear all summer. (Also a great maternity dress!)

One of the things I love about the "new" pattern we released, is that it makes a great top! I made this top from a linen blend we have in stock, using just the bodice front and back. I didn't add the collar or flutter sleeves, and just finished with a narrow hem at the bottom. Super easy and very fun to wear. I got compliments the day I made it and wore it. The pattern is 214 1927 Tea Frock. Find it on our site!

We love our new 214 Tea Frock pattern! Out of print for decades, this one was too good to leave languishing in the files. We brought it back, added sizes to the grading, and digitized it! We are so excited to re-release our 214 Tea Frock in larger sizing and as a paper pattern and PDF pattern! With this pattern, you can make two versions of this classic midi length dress. Add embroidery, drawn threadwork, or smocking to detail this gorgeous vintage dress. We love the options on this dress -- sleeves (or not), collar, waist options, and detailing. There's a lot here! The dress is based on originals from 1927.

Eek! The photos from the manhole cover robbing collaboration! These covers were gifted from artist Carroll Schleppi’s many years of world travel. It was an honor to work with Anne owner of @reimaginesewing on this project. She designed the purple strapless gown that Michie Michael’s modeling and the black linen suit that @thelayzphotographer Meesha Kay is sporting.
The reversible, quilted Turkish coat is from @folkwearsewing.patterns and modeling is the beautiful, Andria Hahn Misutka @osusutke
Not just memories were made here, I met someone I’ve adored and followed online for a few years and our photographer Michie Michael. I made new friends too. Thank you all again for making this happen. by @folkwearsewing.patterns

I love the early photos from the Folkwear archives. The black and white images and the styling evoke romanticism and imagination. These are all of 203 Edwardian Underthings, this month's featured pattern (last photo also has 102 French Cheesemaker's Smock).

If you are making the 227 Edwardian Gown, you might also make the 203 Edwardian Underthings to wear beneath. This gown is stunning with the lace insertion, edge lace, and train. Made in white muslin it is soft, feminine, and perfect for summer. Add in the 203 Underthings (which are on sale this month), and you have a classic. (Take me back to PEI.)
