Happy I made some lovely hotel discoveries on my latest road trip from Paris to Marbella.
I have been doing road trips for over a decade and i love to drive and discover beautiful hotels on the way.
My first stop was in Lyon and because i usually drive also during the night, i do prefer to choose hotels that don’t have a curfew and that have a private parking.
I chose @fourviere_hotel for my first night and it was my second stay at this amazing hotel that used to be a convent and it has such a spectacular reception area inside of the chapel.
The price of the single room was 150 euro per night with breakfast included.
My next stop was Costa Brava and i chose a wonderful @relaischateaux hotel with a lovely spa and a great restaurant @masdetorrent a wonderful 2 Michelin keys hotel, 360 euro per night breakfast included.
I drove another 500 km and I decided to stop in Dénia, I usually don’t plan anything in advance, i make my bookings on the same day because it’s easier for me to make last minute decisions depending on how I feel, most of the times when I have enough time, I will stay more than one night in a place.
This time I was just on a mission to move my car from Paris to Marbella where i am planning to stay for a while.
@hotellosangelesdenia was such a lovely discovery where I would have stayed longer. Its location directly on the beach is fabulous, you can literally sleep with the sea waves in your room, it was such a relaxing stay, I loved their restaurant also, for sure I will return. Price per night 180 euro with breakfast.
I mention breakfast although I never catch it, probably because i aim to catch it one day.😅 I choose to sleep longer each time.
From Dénia you can take a 2 hours ferry to Ibiza and i must admit this was so tempting as Ibiza is my favorite island in the world. Still I continued my road trip to Marbella, another 600 km from a total of 2154 km.
Grateful for my safe journey and for the lovely hosts that have made my stays so good.🙏🏻
