“Elle/Terre/Chaude” at La Verrière

Blending raw materials with mixed media, the artist duo Île/Mer/Froid displays about 50 sculptures and textile works drawing on nature, encounters, vernacular knowledge, and folk art.

Since 2021, the Manuterra programme has been raising awareness of the living world among younger generations.

Across 12 immersive sessions led by a professional and an assistant, pupils put nature-related skills into practice.

This year 1,250 pupils are invited to create, plant, and maintain a plot of land.

Creating a compost, planting, sowing, harvesting.

From the life cycles of soil to the rhythm of the seasons, pupils reconnect with nature and engage directly with environmental issues.

By rediscovering the joy of working the land, these budding gardeners take in the beauty of ecosystems and the need to preserve them.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼’s new know-how

Following on from leatherwork, leather upholstery, carpentry, and plaster moulding, plumbing has now joined the range of skills promoted by Manufacto, a programme designed to introduce schoolchildren to craft professions. This 11th edition marks its expansion, with it now running in 111 classes across 22 school boards.

Over the course of 12 two-hour sessions, accompanied by 2 assistants and a teacher, a professional plumber guides Year 9 students in making a watering can designed by @lorieblk and @thomaslrb.

Artist and artisans

While exploring the Cristallerie Saint-Louis as part of the Foundation’s Artists’ Residencies programme, the Korean painter @hohwoojung is working alongside master glassmakers, combining his practice with their expertise to design an immersive installation. A fruitful dialogue between his painting and crystal.

“5 Chome-4-1 Ginza, Tokyo” at Le Forum

The Foundation’s space in Tokyo is hosting the 1st show in Japan by Ann Veronica Janssens. Her practice gives rise to intangible pieces with elusive elements such as light, artificial haze, sound, and simple materials like plywood, glass, and concrete. Using the address of Hermès Maison Ginza Le Forum as the exhibition’s title, the artist strongly demonstrates, in over 10 pieces, her physical, sensory, and conceptual approach to the site.

Transforme 2026–2027
