Our FAVE restaurant in the 12 Days of @reddiningbook =

Drumroll, please…

🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

#1 = @kodo.la

🍣

Pro: The food was FANTASTIC! The nigiri and handrolls were OUTSTANDING. We loved everything we ate and cannot wait to go back and try their omakase.

Con: We were not allowed to do their omakase without a resie specifically for that experience. We found booking their omakase confusing/uninviting, so need to investigate further.

🍱

Thank you to @reddiningbook and each restaurant for participating. We enjoyed something at each one. We have been wanting to start our food gram for some time now and this was the perfect excuse. What should we do next?

Top 3!!! #3 in the 12 Days of @reddiningbook ranked restaurants by yours truly = @caipirinhabarla

🇧🇷

Pro: Vibes! Atmosphere! We loved sitting side by side in our little banquette. Service and food were all so good and the cocktails are a STAND-OUT!

Con: Pescatarians may find they need to werq for their food a bit (see photos).

🥗

Pro = That salad was phenomenal, but everything was honestly delectable.

Con = Fully cutting hairs here, because service and experience were top-notch, but it’s a tiny restaurant so tables are very close together for those of us with social anxiety.

Top 5! #5 in the 12 Days of @reddiningbook = @theeveleigh

🙏

Pro: Their apps were all extraordinary and personally this was a really special meal for us.

Con: @theeveleigh closed on 12/17, & we are so thankful @reddiningbook introduced us to them. We only wish we would have found them sooner!

All the best to the chef, owners & staff…

#6 in the 12 Days of @reddiningbook = @barmonette

🍕

PRO: This place is FAB! Right off the ocean in SaMo, tiny and unassuming, great vibes. OUTSTANDING service, the BEST from all 14 restaurants. Each dish was delicious from the pear/endive salad to the Maitake mushrooms to cutting the pizza and dipping the jalapeño sauce. You will NOT be disappointed.

CON: Difficult for us to add this to regular rotation as we do not live too close to SaMo!

#8 in the 12 Days of @reddiningbook = @danbi.ktown

🥢

Pro = Firstly, they stood in for their previous restaurant that closed down before year end, but aside from that what was not to love?! The food & drinks were delicious and service outstanding!

Con = not a huge fan of sweet shrimp — taste was right, just not our usual faire. It’s a texture thing…oh, and parking in KTown.😒

Highly recommend! by @foo_dee_travels

#9 in the 12 days of @reddiningbook = @mazal.la

Pro = Food & Service were fantastic! Extra special shout-out to that tomato/cucumber salad.

Con = Not really a con, but this may be the furthest out from the alleged Epi-center of Los Angeles geographically, which is the Beverly Center. Someone told us that once, happy to know if it is actually true.

#11 of the 12 Days of @reddiningbook = @yess.restaurant

Pros: clean, crisp minimalist atmosphere, friendly service & good, innovative food.

Cons: Server accidentally dropped our lobster sandwich while packing it to go and apparently they ran out. Now, at $80 the right thing to do would have been to comp it since there were only a couple bites taken. Instead they took off $20 and gave one of us a glass of sake on the house. They also ran out of their icy coffee dessert, because they ran out of ice.
