Apparently caterpillars turn themselves into soup while in the cocoon to be able to change. Well I’ve felt like soup this whole past year and It’s definitely been uncomfortable, but in that discomfort I learned to really show up and be there for myself and those I care about, but I also discovered just how detached I had become with myself. Half the time I felt like I was watching everything I was doing from the outside looking in. Usually when things become like that for me I’ll just disassociate even further, but this time I did something I don’t normally do which was to lean into it. I chose to be present during some of the toughest, most awkward times in my life and it kind of paid off. Slowly discovering myself and the things that truly matter to me the most. I love bike riding, I love playing the drums/shows, I love being with my friends and family and I love just being. I don’t know what this next year is going to look like or what to expect but I feel like I’m finally starting to take shape, still a lot of work to do but we’re taking it Juan day at a time. #takesjuantoknowjuan #birthdaysareweird #herestomanymore by @foolahno
