It takes a lot of work to go from carpet to glue down hardwood on a slab! Especially when the slab has a bunch of cracks, humps, low spots, and paint/mud from the time it was built. Here’s how I prep the subfloor. ✅

Carpet installation in a master bedroom walk-in closet. Yes, closets this large do need a power stretcher!

A little pad, a lot of precision, and a whole lot of stretching. 💪🔥 The process is just as satisfying as the finished result!

The last step in this engineered hardwood project was to swap out those 60 year old pine treads with matching hardwood. Each step had three parts. Talk about tedious and time consuming! But at the end of the day - I mean days - it turned out pretty sweet. 👌

Just because you’re installing affordable carpet doesn’t mean you need to lower your work quality. Doesn’t matter what you’re installing, you never skimp out on quality. It pays off in the long term. Always 💯

Carpet installation like you’ve never seen before. 🔥

If you have kids that like running and playing in the house, carpet in an upstairs bonus room is the way to go.

Last row hardwood flooring installed backwards. ✅

It’s definitely easier to fit the groove over the tongue instead of the tongue into the groove.

And those who are worried about me not taking off the baseboards: these are custom made baseboards from the 60s and the client didn’t want us touching them. He chose shoe molding instead.

That’s a satisfying cut. 👊
1,100 watts of power + adjustable height and depth + the control to make precise undercuts = The ROBERTS Longneck Plus Jamb Saw.

A section of this glue-assist hardwood project had to be done full spread because staples don’t go through self leveling compound.

Also, this was my first time working with Wakol adhesives and I love it!
