I give 20% of the profits from every print, sticker, postcard and bag sold from this collection to The Clean Wave - a nonprofit here in Costa Rica that keeps our oceans, reefs and streets clean 🩵

What started as a return to watercolor exploration for me has become something so much bigger. My community has helped my teeny tiny business AND we’ve put our money where our mouths are and supported a cause that impacts us all.

You know what’s cool?

Creating for the sake of creation. Bc that’s a gift we get as humans. Not to be “good”, but to try! Progress! Get to know ourselves! Communicate! Be sentimental even!

And perhaps most importantly in the age of AI - it makes us actually use our brains.

I haven’t block printed since high school but I got the itch and ya know what? It’s even more fun than I remember and I’m probably going to be obsessed with this for a while.

I am exactly what 8 year old me dreamt of. An artist, living in Costa Rica, fighting for the wellbeing of humanity and nature, dripped out in Paul Frank.

For this commissioned piece I got free rein to make a green, tropical, Costa Rican inspired backdrop for a painting of this friend’s guitar. Important key details like favorite flowers and his special pick were added and the harder you look, the deeper you’ll go into the rainforest :)

This took wayyyy longer than I expected but you know I can’t settle and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t deeeeeply enjoying bringing this vision to life!
