Still feeling the vibration from Taj Weekes’s set at The Forest Remembers in August. Music that reminds us where we come from. And calls us to stand for a future that honors our roots 🎶

Waiting for us to share stories here? We got you!

The Forest Remembers campaign is inspired by a story from Belize. Fairweather Wilds, a short film-in-progress, reimagines a rainforest landscape where the filmmaker’s elderly grandfather planted 130,000 mahogany trees in an effort to repair colonial legacies of extraction.

Here is the land, the trees scarred by wildfire but still standing.

🌳
It’s located in the Maya Forest Corridor, a vital habitat for jaguar and an important location for carbon sequestration. Stay tuned and follow for more.

Jason Price welcomed guests from around the world with his signature The Forest Remembers poem at the Reforest the Future Summit at New York Climate Week. It was a powerful moment.

We know the role expression and cultural heritage play in building a more sustainable future and resilient communities. And so do leaders in forest restoration work.
.
We will keep lifting up our living archives in spaces where our voices are meant to be heard.

Last month we gathered for poetry, culture, and community. Our kick off fundraiser for The Forest Remembers was an incredible show of support for the collective archive we are building together.

Every poetry reading, musical performance, contribution from every attendee added another layer to our work.

Thank you to the artists who poured themselves into this space:
