POV: You are entering Forest Park on Lagoon Dr. from Skinker Blvd.

Plans for this intersection call for improved visibility, added seating, additional plantings and more! New trees in this space, including dawn redwoods, will create a more forested, insulated space for pedestrians. by @forestparkforever

Give a Tribute Tree in Forest Park 🌲

🍁 Dedicating a tree is a unique way to celebrate a loved one or honor a memory.

🌳 Tribute trees have been planted within areas of Forest Park we maintain for at least two years. We do not dedicate new tree plantings.

Forest Park is not on fire, today, but now is the season for prescribed burning.

The window for safely and productively conducting burns in our region runs from mid-October. to mid-April. 🗓️

With support from the @moconservation and in partnership with the @stlparks.recreation.forestry , our nonprofit conservancy is happy to report over 16 years of successful burns. 💚

Weather and many circumstances permitting, Forest Park experts may be conducting prescribed burns in the Park now through April 2027. ⚠️

Forest Restoration Day is on November 7 this year.🌲It is our nonprofit conservancy’s biggest one-day volunteer opportunity.

Last year, more than 200 volunteers helped our staff replant 883 trees across 22.6 acres of the Nature Reserve.

Forest Park Forever and @stlparks.recreation.forestry aim to plant at least 6,000 trees over the next five years. Restoring Forest Park after the tornado last spring will take decades. Our ability to do this and maintain our meticulous daily care of the 1,300-acre Park depends on community support.
