Tonight, the workout belonged to the runners.

Everyone became a coach.

Before each loop, one runner shared a coaching cue—something that has helped them become a better runner. From run tall and quick feet to relax your shoulders and land under your hip, every 400 meters had a different focus.

It was a reminder that no matter your pace or experience, everyone has something valuable to share.

A special thank you to @nyrr for stopping by and capturing the evening. We can't wait to see the final result.

See you next Wednesday. Effort over pace.
Thank you to @coach_runotti_d for another great workout!

Summer Streets, Forest Park Runners style.

Big miles, good energy, even better company. Special thanks to @mjbeckman1 for leading the crew, and to @kevinamontalvo for pulling up with his crew and making the morning even better.

NYC streets hit different when we run them together.

Elmhurst, let’s run together. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃

Join us for the Elm Runners introductory 5K on Sunday, October 4. Arrive at 8:00 AM at Elm Roastery; we’ll start running at 8:15 AM. All paces are welcome, and there’ll be raffles, good company, and a runner discount afterward.

Elm Roastery is more than our meeting spot. It’s one of the best cafés in the neighborhood and a big supporter of local people. We’re proud to have them as our official partner, and together we’re planning to bring more color to Elmhurst’s active lifestyle. 🙌 🎉

Thank you to Queens Distance Runners, Woodside Sunnyside Runners, and Forest Park Runners for supporting our first big community run. Bring a friend—we’d love to see you there.

Your block. Your crew. Your miles.

Marathon training is a long lesson in letting go.
You may not get to choose what happens, but you do get to choose how you handle it. And that matters more than people think.

On race day, the runner who stays calm, adjusts, and keeps moving forward will usually do a whole lot better than the one fighting everything all at once.
So don’t waste your energy on what you can’t control.

Accept it! Adjust! Make the most of it!
