Buttermere in March.

The first walk I went on in the lakes with my new camera and @rachelhappywalking123 in tow.

March is always a good time for clouds and dramatic scenery in the fells. I’m trying out different ways of editing my photos post capture so if anyone has any editing tips or apps they like to use please feel free to share them with me😊

I thought I would do a bit more of an introductory post about me as I’ve had a lot of new followers over the last month!

My name is Beth and when I’m not working full time, I’m doing a variety of different hobbies! (Keep swiping to see just a few of them ✨🌿).

I started this instagram account as a diary of sorts, to enable me to have somewhere to post and keep all of my favourite photos and pieces of artwork in one place. In doing this I hope to inspire those around me to pursue their hobbies and love doing things that they enjoy!

I hope that you will all continue to follow along with me as I continue my journey through nature and historical places across the UK (and hopefully the world once me and my boyfriend get the time 😊). taken in The Lake District by @forestsandfells

Saturday 16.05.26:
We set out to go to borrowdale for a walk and very quickly realised that even if we got there, we wouldn’t make it out of the valley. Keswick mountain festival was on so the town was more busy than it normally is.

Instead we found this beautiful walk in one of our favourite woodlands. The whole walk reminded me of a fairy forest. It was stunning. So lucky to have such beautiful walks on our doorstep.

Another collection of photos from day 3 of our holiday. Arundel Cathedral is a beautiful demonstration of 19th-century French Gothic Revival Architecture and is a place of Roman Catholic Worship.

08.09.26 - Arundel Castle and village part 1

Day 3 of our holiday took us to Arundel, a place I have loved very much since I first visited as a child! The castle was first built in 1067 and has since been added to over the years creating an absolutely stunning representation of British history throughout the ages.

We were able to explore the castle, castle grounds, historic town and the cathedral in one day 🏰

August 2026: forest walks, mushroom hunting, good food, historic places, wild swimming and visiting the lifeboat station I used to be crew at whilst supporting my partner who’s still a crewman 🚤🏰🌲

Was such a lovely experience to be able to photograph so much this month.

20.08.26 - A post work hike around a coffin trail.

A lovely walk with two wonderful people @clarepetrie and @amy.craighead.

22.08.26 - Great Gable, Windy Gap & Green Gable

Some photos from the long hike we did the other day! I’ve been too busy to edit and post the photos I took until now but I’ve finally made the time!

My second time up Green Gable as I first did it at the age of 9! (Feels like an age ago but not at the same time 😂)
