A foliage fairytale 🍃

A vision all made possible because of the phenomenal @foreverblossomuk!

Did you know that our florist, Vasti, was supposed to do our UK 2020 wedding? And as fate would have it, she moved to the winelands shortly after the pandemic and so naturally, I couldn’t think of anyone better to create our dream vision for our 2024 wedding when we decided to have it at @zorgvlietwines. Vasti has walked alongside us every step of the way, and has become a close friend over the years. We absolutely adore her 💕

Our vision was a foliage fairytale. I wanted to bring the outside in, and have our guests wined and dined beneath the greenery of nature and all its beautiful elements. Not a flower in sight - just heaps of lush leaves and gorgeous grasses in a breathtaking installation.

The smell of eucalyptus was EXQUISITE and will forever be our wedding scent 🍃

Wishing you you all a blessed Christmas Eve. In South Africa, Father Christmas arrives tonight, we share a meal together and open gifts. Thinking of all those who can’t be with us. Christmas, how quickly has this year gone! I have been away from what I loved for 24 years in the UK. Now back in the sunshine, missing the twinkling lights, cosy fires and real Christmas trees. Walking down the isle is a very special moment. Having your husband to be down the end and your wife to be on the other. So many emotions happening here.
