I made some beautiful stitches today on a threadbare scrap and when I was finished, the beautiful stitches asked to be threadbare, too…so with my tiny scissors and pink tweezers pulling on them ever so gently, they thanked me and said yes, this feels so much more like home.

Wherever this takes me, I’ll be okay. I haven’t been stitching lately and it feels so good to hold all of my fabric and threads and scraps again.
Thank you @michellecoxcreative for your inspiration.

Searching for and setting out some beautiful things for @michellecoxcreative “stitch and gather challenge” that starts next week.
I’m hoping that my stitching bug comes back, as it’s been awhile since I focused just on that and I have so many projects I’d like to finish. Thank to @izabelatysver for giving me so much inspiration!

Fall is falling here and I’m here for it. I haven’t been studio productive but did create this little page after cutting loads of words from some old books. I love found poetry. Well, basically I love words.

Every fall, I eco-dye!
This batch was created over 3 days of simmering and drying and rinsing and ironing and well, it’s a gorgeous batch of papers and fabric and I’m so happy.
Eco-dyeing for me is always a surprise as I just grab flowers and paper and fabric and rusty bits and make bundles and throw everything in and then rush to the garage in the morning to unwrap to see what beauty happened.
This was my first time to boil acorns for my dye and holy wow, it was a gorgeous dye!
And now I’m done until next year, as once a year yields so much yumminess to play with.

Playing with found words in my binder journal because Emily’s @quietnoticing classes from Covid still linger in my mind and I’m so thankful for that.

My parents were always told she doesn’t focus and she talks to other students too much in class…
Let’s raise our glasses to the curious ones, the ones that wander and wonder!
