Oh my sweet beautiful girl.. I love you so much mommy and I never would’ve believed that I would be getting this news. Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I never got to say goodbye to you, but I know this isn’t just a goodbye but an I’ll see you later… I love you so much.

1 whole year without you.. 365 days. There is never a moment when you’re not on my mind. I prayed every day for God to bring you back. You were my best friend, my soulmate, and everything wrapped up into one person. Even when the world moves on and memories begin to fade, I promise I’ll never forget you until my last breath.

I never knew a year could feel so long but go by so fast. So much has happened, and you’re still the first person I want to tell everything to. I’d give anything to hear your voice, hug you one more time, or have another conversation about absolutely nothing.

What hurts the most is knowing how much of my life you’ll miss. My college graduation, my wedding, my first child, and all the accomplishments we used to talk about. I always imagined you right there beside me, cheering me on and telling me how proud you were. Now every milestone will come with the pain of wishing you were there. I know they say you’re watching over me, and I pray that’s true, but sometimes I don’t want to look up to heaven to find you. I just want to look beside me and see my mom. I wanted you here for all of it, not just part of my life.

People say time heals, but I’ve just learned to live with a pain that will never go away. A part of me left with you, and I’ll never be the same. Some days I’m strong, and other days I’m still that same person trying to understand how I’m supposed to live the rest of my life without my mom.

I hope I’m making you proud. I hope you see how hard I’m trying, even on the days when I feel like giving up. Everything I accomplish will always have a piece of you in it. No matter how old I get or how successful I become, there will always be a part of me that just needs her mommy.

If love could’ve kept you here, you would’ve lived forever. And if I could do this life all over again, I’d choose you as my mom in every lifetime. Until we meet again, I’ll spend the rest of my life loving you, missing you, and keeping your memory alive💜. by @foreverkaii__
