👉🏾 I went to a financial advisor because I was sick and tired of the debt collection calls and wanted help
👉🏾 That person was rude and condescending as hell so I went to someone
👉🏾 The new person was amazing and helped me understand my debt in its entirety and how compound interest works both ways 💡
👉🏾 From here now understanding I was my own financial problem I started to budget and live off cash only
👉🏾 Cut bad spending and lived off my cash budget - which made me realize I need a side job/hustle/and OT
👉🏾 Asked for helped from a family friend for the debt collection as the calls were mentally draining me (this person paid the whole bill 🙏🏾)
👉🏾 Contacted my credit card companies and closed my cards
👉🏾 Switched to 1 secured credit only to stay building credit
👉🏾 Started paying down my credit cards first as the interest rates were as high as 29.99%
👉🏾 My side job/hustle/OT work helped me pay off my pay days loans that I racked up
👉🏾 Used my tax returns to pay down more on my debt ( including my student loans and car)
👉🏾 Kept this process going until my debt monthly payments were manageable
👉🏾 Started saving money to buy my condo with my husband
👉🏾 Used my condo equity to finish off remaining debt

This was 4-5 years of paying off debt.

So the sooner you start the sooner you can become debt free.
