In our most recent edition of PubStack, we curated a list of 12 books by Indigenous authors.

Inspired by Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the list is a way to counter-celebrate America’s upcoming Columbus Day and to stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples’ Day. These books span age ranges and topics so there is something for everyone.

October is National Book Month. Established in 2003 by the National Book Foundation, its intent is to encourage people to broaden their vocabulary as well as explore new ideas through reading. It is also intended to bring attention to how important public libraries and independent bookstores are to the community, a shared mission of Foreword Reviews.

We hope that everyone takes a moment to visit their local library and/or bookstore to pick up that new book and help expand your mind.
