God created every galaxy, every ocean, every mountain. His hands made all of it.

And then He told us exactly what catches His eye.
Not power. Not performance. Not an impressive religious resume. Isaiah 66:2 says He looks toward the humble and contrite in spirit — the one who trembles at His word.

The Hebrew word for contrite is nake — crushed. Not shame as a permanent address. But a spirit so aware of its own insufficiency before a holy God that it has stopped performing and started being honest.

You don't have to be impressive to get God's attention. You just have to be real. 🙏

A child doesn't fight off the thing that scares him. He runs to his dad.

That's how we face temptation too. Not by gritting our teeth and trying harder, but by having the humility to admit we can't do it alone and running straight to our Father.

"The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe." (Proverbs 18:10)
Pride says, "I've got this." Humility says, "Father, help me." And Scripture tells us which one God answers: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:6-7)
Victory over sin was never about your strength. It's about whose arms you run to.

Solomon gave 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. David refused to give God anything that cost him nothing. Jesus paid for our sin once for all, but Romans 12:1 says the sacrificing didn't stop. We became the offering. What is following Him costing you?

If God were standing right beside you, what would you be afraid of?

If you're a believer, He's even closer than that. So why aren't we living like it?

Catch Part 1 first if you missed it.

The ark of the covenant was so holy a man died just touching it. When it entered Israel's camp, the Philistines panicked: "A god has come into the camp."
But Israel still lost that battle. Why? And where did God's presence go after the cross?

Part 2 coming soon.

Do you know Jesus well enough to know what He'd do at your job? At the store? At home? Tomorrow, ask the question and then live the answer. #WWJD #Jesus #ChristianLiving #Faith #BibleStudy by @forgiven.dude

Knowing God loves you and believing it are two very different things. Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). You can stop trying to earn what He already gave you in full. Taste and see. 🍽️

Casual Christianity is a lie, and it's one we love to believe.

Jesus never made following Him cheap. In Luke 14, with a massive crowd behind Him, He didn't lower the bar; He told them to count the cost. And in Luke 11:23, He drew the line: "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters."
There's no neutral ground with Jesus. No Sundays only. No spectating.

Not because we earn salvation, but because once we see the cross clearly, nothing compares to Him.

Are you all in?

How often do you think about eternity?

In Luke 12, a man builds bigger barns while God says his life is required of him that night. Jesus' point: "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (v. 34)

Bills and responsibilities are real, and this isn't about them. It's about where your life is pointed. Are you investing in what lasts forever?

Where's your time going?

It looks godly. It sounds godly. But Paul warned us about people who have the form of faith and deny its power. That's not a someday warning. It's right now. (2 Tim 3:1-9)

The fruit of the Spirit isn't a self-improvement list. It's the character of Jesus, and almost all of it is meant for other people. Love, kindness, patience, gentleness: they only make sense when you're living for God and others. So what are you looking for today, people to serve or things to get? 📖 Gal 5:22-23 | Matt 22:37-40 | John 3:30

You become what you behold.

The more time you spend with Jesus, the more you start to look like Him: how you speak, how you love, how you respond when no one is watching. Transformation isn't self-improvement. It's proximity.
Who are you spending your time beholding?
