Fresh out the kiln! Including some poisonous plant mugs - I will be bringing some to @vintageboutiquemarket this weekend and then updating the shop. by @forgottenfern

Not romanticizing kiln loading and the time it takes to make each piece. It’s a delicate balance between making, glazing, and firing. One I feel like I may never master. by @forgottenfern

When I peel my stencils the clay is still soft enough to make dents, squish, or get mis formed. It’s especially difficult if the stencil doesn’t budge. #potteryprocess #handmadepottery #makeart by @forgottenfern

Spent 1 hour on a mug, I was excited as it was a new concept. In order for it to dry and keep its shape I had to precariously lay it down on my drying shelf, while cradling it between two other mugs.

It would need a long term drying solution if I was going to make more - but I admired the whimsy of it.
As I turned around to get my phone (it deserved a photo and a moment) I heard a thump. It only took seconds for it to roll and fall off that shelf, squishing it to no repair.

This is not that mug. by @forgottenfern
