Haven't posted in a while. I've been busy becoming a dad! Coffee roasting will resume eventually as I'm not in any hurry to rush through this new season of formation in my life. That wouldn't be very on-brand of me, haha! by @formationcoffee

I tried to be ✨aesthetic✨ and take a video of my pour over but I almost forgot to close my Hario Switch. Nearly ruined my steep phase, but this Ethiopian blend from @counterculturecoffee still came out pretty tasty.

What is your recipe for the Hario switch?

Roasted a new coffee yesterday. El Salvador Dry Process Anacafé. Looking forward to cupping these roasts. I have one more pound of beans from @sweetmarias Fruit Basket coffee set. Really enjoying these coffees, and learning a bunch from roasting them! by @formationcoffee

Formation's logo mark "F" is partially inspired by the morning light coming through a window. The slant, the shadow, it's the start of a new day. A chance to start with intentionality; forming your day, and overtime, yourself. by @formationcoffee

This weekend's roast of an Ethiopian dry process coffee was a fun new challenge to roast. One of the bathes was a but baked, but I got it dialed in and today's pour over brew, via the Hario Switch, is fruity, sweet, with a hint of spice. Everything you want from a a coffee like this. by @formationcoffee

Slow Saturday morning means roasting in the garage as the rain starts. Today's roast is an Ethiopian dry process. Chatgpt said my roasts are getting better, but it all depends on what shows up in the cup. by @formationcoffee

Cupped yesterday's roast of a Costa Rican dry processed coffee. Took some work to dial it in, but I'm getting really pleasant notes of blueberry, some spice, with a syrupy body. Honestly I thought I botched the roast, and it probably is slightly muted from this coffee's potential. But DANG, this is a solid cup of coffee! taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @formationcoffee

This Kenyan coffee has really grown on me, and I'm sad that I don't have more beans to roast. But there are alot more coffees out there to explore! Let me know if you're interested in trying some in 2026! taken in North Fort Worth, Fort Worth by @formationcoffee
