The FormFit Forum is officially in residency with the Boys & Girls Club! @bgcgreaterdetroit 🧡

I’m so grateful for this partnership and what it means for our growing community. Having a space where our members can learn, create, connect, and bring their ideas to life is something I’ve looked forward to and I’m thankful to see it becoming a reality.

Nine years in and I still appreciate the moments that remind me how far this journey has come💗

I loved being part of the FormFit Entrepreneur District at Femology and having the chance to sit on the panel and talk about some of the experiences that have shaped me as a makeup artist and business owner.

One thing about entrepreneurship it will grow you right alongside your business. There have been so many lessons, changes, and defining moments over the years, and being able to share a piece of that journey with a room full of women building their own was really special.

Such a beautiful day of good conversation, genuine connection, and women learning from women🫶🏾 taken in Femology by @formfitforum

Some rooms you just can’t explain. You have to be in them.

The Entrepreneur Expo brought together current and aspiring entrepreneurs for a day filled with valuable conversations, real resources, meaningful connections and the kind of energy that reminds you why getting in the room matters.

The value was there. The resources were there. The people were there. And the vibes? You just had to experience them for yourself 📝💎

If you’re building something, stop waiting for the room to come to you. Find the room and get in it ✨

Behind the Lab Ep. 2 🔴✨

Good energy. Amazing conversations . Great progress.

@formfitforum Built the kind of room you leave with a little more perspective than you came in with.

Thanks B @brooklynncobyyy for the invite and also for creating spaces where Detroit’s creatives + entrepreneurs can connect, build, and grow. ❤️

“It’s not what you know, but who you know, and who knows you!”! I remember meeting @earldreambig at the @eastsidegolf Community Golf Day and one of the things he left me with was, “Always Be Closing”!

Networking is an essential part of your development! According to a study done by @nielsenmedia , “92% of consumers trust word-of-mouth referrals more than all other forms of advertising.”

During my panel discussion with @formfitforum on Sunday, we were asked about the importance of having physical, digital, or both business cards when networking, and its essential you’re ready with multiple ways to connect!

Because who loves public speaking? Yuck.

That used to be me. I was the girl who avoided speech class. I’m the one who preferred to present in the middle or closer to the end. I never wanted to be the first to speak.

Those adolescent thoughts carried over into adulthood. I found comfort hiding behind brands. I’d rather be the muscle behind the machine than to be the person out in front.

That complacency caused me so many opportunities. I decided this year to snap out of it. So I’ve began to reposition myself and new doors + relationships have opened themselves up.

I’m no longer shrinking. I’m no longer complacent. I’m bold, up front, and saying yes to opportunities that can help connect me or put me in front of the right people.

Are you anything like me?

Thank you @brooklynncobyyy and @formfitforum for the opportunity to speak alongside @cederickcampbell and @mrduffyyy. It was just what I needed. 💙

Still on a high from these rooms🥹✨

I’ve been a full-time entrepreneur for a little over a year now and building a business can be lonely. Sometimes it feels like no one really understands the sacrifices, uncertainty and hard work that goes into building something from the ground up.

So thank you to everyone on these panels for the refresh of energy, encouragement and inspiration to keep pushing my mission and staying true to why I started in the first place. 🤍

I really appreciate every person who showed up with transparency and was willing to have the honest conversations about what it really takes to build something. It’s a blessing to be a blessing so thank you for sharing your wisdom and gifts. ✨

And special shoutout to @brooklynncobyyy and the team for curating such a great event 🤍 by @formfitforum
