It’s rare to be able to work with an artist as talented as @liana.vision
When she isn’t shooting for Vogue or other award-winning work, she will take on side projects like this one for our headshots.
Shoutout to @anolanluxeworld for connecting us.

What if the roof of a home could capture the movement of a sail?

Introducing Felucca House, a contemporary residential design inspired by the traditional sailboats that navigate the Nile River.

The home’s folded roof transforms this inspiration into architecture—creating a rhythmic silhouette, framing expansive views, and providing deep shade along the home’s glass façade.

Each fold responds to the spaces beneath it, balancing sculptural expression with the practical demands of coastal living.

At Form Found Design, we believe residential architecture should be more than beautiful. It should tell a story, respond to its environment, and transform the experience of everyday life.

Convergent House is a Palisades Fire redesign based on the converging building volumes and converging lives of the residents. The home is anchored by expansive hilltop ocean views, where the design emerges from the unique site conditions. by @formfounddesign

Rebuilding a fire or smoke-damaged home in the Palisades or Altadena? It can be more than a replacement project.

Our new project in the Palisades is starting to take shape. We’re honoring the past mid-century elements while enhancing the entry with a dynamic butterfly roof. We’re also creating more garden space by turning the L-shaped driveway into a straight drive into the garage. #architecture #residential #residentialarchitecture by @formfounddesign

The building industry is starting to recognize the value of automated steel framing, fundamentally moving residential construction to become more precise, efficient, and resilient. Complex framing can be solved digitally before problems can compound on the job site. Automated Steel Framing is 4X more precise than wood, providing a commercially-proven prefabrication method. Walls and trusses are pre-engineered using software, prefabricated in a factory and delivered to the job site. This allows fast-tracking construction timelines as the foundation can be poured while assembly is underway off-site. Steel is non-combustible and termite-proof making it much more insurable as well. Form Found Design has designed over ten homes using this system with more on the way in the Palisades…

Automated Steel Framing is bringing digital fabrication to residential construction, creating new opportunities for homes to be built more efficiently out of steel. The C-Shell House, featured here uses this system to create built-in efficiencies as well as resilience through a non-combustible, termite-proof frame. This opens the door for insurability in fire-prone areas.

We’re designing a fire rebuild in the Palisades that honors the past while building a new sanctuary for life’s beautiful moments. The prior L-shaped building mass created an unnecessarily long driveway and reduced the front yard space. We began by understanding the client’s needs for an elevated living space on the unique site.

By placing the guest quarters on the ground level, we were able to give the client elevated views as well as a connection the terracing back patio. The design is conceived as two C-shaped shells that bracket the home from views from neighbors as well as any future fire threats from the nearby structures.

Using non-combustible exterior materials as well as an automated light gauge steel skeleton, we’re not only fire hardening the exterior, where building for longevity and resilience. We’ve designed the interiors to be warm and inviting, exceeding the client’s expectations for what is possible.
