Don't wait until a small concern becomes a bigger problem.

Changes in the fit of your prosthesis, new discomfort, skin irritation, unusual sounds, or changes in your activity level can all be reasons to reach out to your prosthetist. Addressing concerns early can often lead to simple adjustments that help you stay comfortable and active.

A major win for the limb loss and limb difference community.

New Hampshire has become the 14th state to expand insurance coverage for activity-specific prosthetic devices for adults, a significant step toward giving people with limb loss greater access to the tools they need to stay active and healthy.

As our own Jason Lalla, CPO, shared during the legislative process:

"That's what this is all about. Whether someone wants to pursue being a Paralympian or wants to ride a bike with their kids."

We're celebrating this milestone with patients, advocates, and legislators who have helped make this possible. Because prosthetic care isn't just about walking, it's about living the life you choose.

We’re proud to celebrate Mary's journey and the incredible progress she’s making with the support of our team in Milton, Massachusetts. 💙

Mary developed a left leg length discrepancy after a series of orthopedic injuries and surgeries several years ago. Following additional surgical procedures, she experienced complications that led to a left foot drop. Prior to amputation, her final surgery involved hardware removal and placement of a static spacer.

Assistant Clinic Manager, Barbara, says "She is an amazing, independent and determined woman who elected to have her leg amputated since it was painful and nonfunctional. Her doctors were surprised that she approached them to have her leg amputated. Her spirit and attitude are inspirational to all of us that have worked with her."

This inspiring story comes from our ForMotion France team, where Nicolas' journey is a testament to the power of personalized care.

After years of surgeries, Nicolas found a new path forward with a custom neuro-orthosis, a specialized brace designed to improve stability, support movement, and help people with neurological or muscular impairments walk more naturally and confidently.

Today, he's walking independently, spending more time with his family, and even earned 3rd place at the European Para Arm Wrestling Championships. 💪

His journey is a reminder of what's possible with determination, innovation, and a care team that's with you every step of the way.

"I'm alive." ❤️

When Air Force veteran Francine Good survived septic shock in 2023, she lost her right hand, several fingers, and parts of both feet. But she never lost her determination.

After discovering adaptive sports through the VA, Francine found something she had been searching for: purpose. Today, she's training for the National Veterans Golden Age Games, where she'll compete alongside thousands of veterans from across the country in weightlifting.

As one of our local Maryland patients, we've been inspired to watch Francine's journey of resilience and strength. Her story is a powerful reminder that with the right support, perseverance, and mindset, it's possible to keep moving forward.

Her advice to other veterans says it best: "Movement is medicine."

Veterans: Don't miss your 2026 VA Clothing Allowance benefit.

If you have a service-connected disability and use a prosthetic, orthotic, or certain prescribed skin medications that cause excessive wear or damage to your clothing, you may qualify for the 2026 VA Clothing Allowance of up to $1,053.19.

📅 Application deadline: August 1, 2026

The allowance helps cover clothing damaged by eligible prosthetic or orthotic devices and qualifying medications.

To apply:
✔️ Complete VA Form 10-8678 here: https://bit.ly/3QKd3ZX
✔️ Submit it to the Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service at your VA Medical Center before the deadline.

We recently had the opportunity to host a PT educational day and walking clinic in Knoxville for local therapists and prosthetic users. The day centered around hands-on learning, led by ForMotion’s own Renée VanVeld. Events like this highlight how valuable collaboration between therapy teams and prosthetic providers is, helping us align care, share insight, and ultimately improve outcomes for the patients we serve. From championship wins to unforgettable moments on the ice, James continues to show what's possible.

This season James helped lead the Thunderbirds to a championship tournament victory. He also represented sled hockey during the opening ceremony of the Empire State Games @eswgames. Plus, he had the chance to meet Boston Bruins legend @theraybourque.
