leclerc hit the wall. antonelli stole pole. 😮

1:12.051. monaco. his first ever pole here.
0.043 seconds ahead of verstappen.
verstappen was 0.001s behind after the first runs. 😭

leclerc went purple in sector 2.
briefly had pole.
hit the wall at tabac on his final lap.
race over before it started. at home. again.

hamilton p3. russell p6. mclaren p7 and p8.

2026 bahrain gp race recap: verstappen wins at sepang. again. 9 years later. 🔥

torrential rain. over an hour and a half delay.
formation lap chaos. start suspended.
max had pole and still dropped behind both mercedes at the start.

came back. took the lead. disappeared.
fastest lap on the final lap. because of course.

first win of 2026. first win with red bull’s own engine.
last time f1 raced here in 2017, he won too.

hamilton gambled on slicks at the start. dropped to p15.
fought all the way back to the podium.

russell’s car died behind the safety car.
title hopes gone. antonelli now 84 points clear

max’s first pole of the season.
first non-mercedes powered pole all year.
topped every single part of qualifying.

first time these two share a front row in over three years.

russell stepped up on his final q3 run.

ruthless street circuit. zero margin for error.

the 2026 optimal lap: 1:41.847.
0.73 seconds slower. one of the tightest gaps this season.

baku is a street circuit. the walls set the limit. not downforce.
that’s why the 2026 regs hurt less here than anywhere else.
the optimal line is almost exactly what a human would drive.
