New Forms for Old Colors. 2023.
cotton fabric, brazilwood powder, black bean, onion, copper wire.

My work is situated at a midway point between home utility, craft, and sculpture. I have avoided geometric or precise lines in favor of structuring contours inspired by organic forms and textures. The sculptures are wrapped in found cotton fibers and dyed using entirely organic substances that determine the color of the emanating light. The work speaks to the timelessness of both iconography and the human relationship to nature. by @forthesakeofthis
