There’s something about the smell of melting wax and cinnamon that means Christmas is finally here 🎄

I love this part of the process- watching the colours twist together, never knowing exactly how each swirl will turn out until it sets. No two are ever quite the same, which feels right for something made by hand.

These little pillars have become one of my favourite parts of the season. There’s something grounding about slowing down to make something simple and warm while everything else feels a bit rushed.

Your candle’s first burn is the most important one 🕯️

Wax has a memory. If it doesn’t melt all the way to the edge on the first light, it’ll tunnel from then on, which means wasted wax, a weaker scent and a shorter burn time.

The fix is simple: Give it at least 2 hours the first time (longer for bigger candles), until the wax pool reaches the edges of the jar.

Trust me, your candle will thank you.

That’s exactly why I created our Natural Fragrance Linen and Room Sprays.
