Not many people get the privilege of having their childhood cat’s kitten in their home, but I’m incredibly lucky to have Trinket— daughter of my beloved cow cat Penelope!!

I truly didn’t plan on being a cat owner until after graduation, but Penelope had other ideas. When I went home to visit her litter of four, she quite literally placed Trinket right in my lap. In that moment, it felt like Penelope told me that I had an obligation to care for her.

Trinket is such a spunky, silly, and unique little soul, and I’m so grateful to call her both my grand-kitty and my daughter. Happy birthday, my love!

And her momma on the last slide :) by @fortunateclover
