Finally feeling good today! Woke and decided to dress in something I love to wear just to run errands in. Picked up my friend to hang with while we did regular shit like grocery shop. 🦋💕🦋Menopause is rearranging my nervous system and working its crazy wild hormonal magic. Woooweee emotional and physical pain is amplified and tearing me up and down. Thankfully my amazing husband, caring children, super sister and uplifting friends talk with me, have been loving and guiding me during this period of time. I’ve opened up about what I’m dealing with and each has offered support. That’s been scary but reaching out and being honest about the challenges has opened up avenues of learning and healing! 🦄I’m thankful for my flexible and curious mind that looks for solutions when conundrums arise! So ya know there’s a ton out there about how to handle menopause. I talk with people who are going through it and who have made the journey. This wisdom is precious!! I found a great practitioner, I’m taking the hormone replacement route, eating protein, taking creatinine, vitamins, going to therapy ( that’s a given in my life regardless), art creation, continuing to be sensual and feeling sexy, talking to myself with compassion, flirting with myself, singing along with daily Afro -beat positive mantra songs, nervous system resetting techniques, acupuncture, training my mind to transform difficulty into growth and learning and as always actively ridding my mind of patriarchal conditioning. by @forvluv

Whilst enjoying @covenconnection this Fairy Queen full of grace as I dive? on to the hammock… I thought it would catch me and I’d swing like I was flying!!! But no, i landed in the grass and ended up with a funny moment narrated by @lisa_needs_braces I’d do it again! The hammock popped right back up thankfully, as did I! by @forvluv

I love this summer solstice photo of myself. I love the colors of the photo and my silver hair adorned with a crown made for me by my sister and my lips set in joyful confidence. I love the way the ribbon drapes over my breast and a rose rests in my fingers. I love this photo because of the experience I was having during the photo. I love it for who was capturing the moment and for the people who I enjoyed the night with. I love looking at each and every part of this image. I find joy in admiring and embracing myself and will continue to do so! @janellesparkles creates such a beautiful space to embrace the season with ritual celebration in a coven connection and expertly draws out one’s witchy self to experience comfort, ease and beautiful expression. by @forvluv

This song Sweat is juicy “let me touch you where you like it” and so was this hot choreo🥵 Just feels so sensual strutting and prancing in heels and getting into the floor-work too!! Whew, it has been a while since I’ve Heeled!! This time it was the Heels and Vogue combo class with incredible dynamic duo of @k_raq and @jazzycc99 at the awesome @ebbandflowut studio. This was a serious challenge for my brain and body! Learning how to Vogue was new and enlightening, and then heeling brought me into a happy place that I’ve been missing immensely. Combing the two took even more concentration from me! I accept myself as a learner and don’t expect perfection. The expectation I have for myself is to step into these dance classes with my heart open, move forward with the active desire to learn from my amazing mentors and to admire and cheer on the other dancers in the class. ✅✅✅!!! I feel good about my back arch, head back and right bent leg at the end. What I now know: Respect the Vouge, know the history of Vouge, duckwalk hurts at first so you gotta push, arch that back when on the floor, your palms face out with fingers elegant and middle finger emphasized after touching it to your shoulder, elbows touching for a more specific shape. Be in true awe next time you see someone Vouge cuz it’s full of WOW, sweat and Love!!! by @forvluv
