GPT-6 Astra shipped and everyone reposted the same launch clip. Nobody said what actually changed.

It runs the desktop now. It clicks buttons, so it works inside software that has no API and never will.

→ Dan Shipper left it cutting in Premiere for five hours unattended
→ Ben Davis had it grading in Final Cut and catching its own mistakes
→ It argues with your brief before it starts instead of guessing

What it still won’t do is make the image, out-taste Claude on anything visual, or have the idea.

So the stack doesn’t change. Claude directs, Midjourney and Nano Banana render, Astra takes the part nobody wanted.

The 99.9% everyone quoted is OpenAI’s own harness. On the neutral one it drops to 62.7.

MOST AI FILM IS GENERATED SHOT BY SHOT. THIS ONE WAS CUT.

Six prompts made all of it. Each one was run whole in Higgsfield on Seedance, four to fifteen seconds in a single pass, with the same character sheets and location plates passed in as fixed references every time.

Then it gets treated like footage. 28 cuts at 1.4 seconds average, the train and the memory interleaved.

Every prompt sits underneath the cut it made, while that cut plays. The elements it was handed are above it.

last part. evening, everyone comes back outside, and it ends on a sheet on a
washing line.

all generated, nothing filmed. the workflow is moodboard, locked palette,
frames, sound, then grade and grain at the end so it stops reading as a
render. Created using @higgsfield.ai @higgsfield.creators

46 seconds and 21 shots, and most of the time went on the audio rather than
the pictures. that was the point of it.

MOST AI LOOKS UNCONSIDERED. HERE IS WHY OURS DOESN'T.
Most AI film drifts because every shot is generated on its own. New roll, new face, new beach, new light.
We build the bases before a single frame exists. A character sheet, a location plate, the hero prop. Three references, locked.
Then every shot in the film is generated off those same three. The prompt is the only thing that changes.
That is the whole trick. The consistency is the order of work, not the model.

second part, the hour where nobody goes outside.

this is the bit the film was actually made for. most ai video has no sound
design at all, or a track dropped over the top and nothing underneath, so we
built it properly. four continuous beds with volume automation, every source
measured before anything got mixed, and spots only where something really
happens on screen.

a few shots in here have nothing of their own at all. the cicadas carry them.

test project. wanted to see if we could do a place properly instead of the
usual ai postcard version of italy, so we picked a working fishing town
rather than somewhere pretty, and built the whole thing off a moodboard we
pulled apart first.

that set the palette and the light. frames came off that, then sound, then
the grade last.

this is the morning half. a basket coming down on a rope, an ape van parked
up with the crates still on it, a cat getting to the fish before anyone
turns round.
