Have you met Michaella Barron, Forza Dance Founder & Artistic Director ⁉️

Come to SHINDIG 2026 and experience her choreographic voice through a curated selection of socially conscious, innovative, and impactful works.

This year’s program looks back while looking ahead—featuring Forza repertory, a first glimpse of a new work-in-progress being developed into our next evening-length production, and a few surprises along the way. 👀

A Detroit-born choreographer, performer, and educator, Michaella is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy and the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, where she earned degrees in Dance and International Political Economy. Her work spans concert dance, film, and interdisciplinary performance and has been commissioned and presented throughout NYC and nationally, with support from NYSCA and the Gibney Community Trust.

At the heart of Michaella’s practice is a commitment to collaboration, connection, and creating dynamic spaces where dance can bring people together—cultivating greater empathy for one another and for the world we share.
