Meet the camera kittens! 📸 Leica (dilute tortie girl), Polaroid (gray boy), Nikon (gray boy), and Kodak (black boy).

These four were found in someone’s backyard, and they’re still a little skittish, but they’re warming up fast in foster care. Watching them discover toys for the first time is the cutest thing ever, even if sudden movements still send them flying. They’re also obsessed with squeeze treats and are slowly figuring out that life indoors with humans has some perks.

They need a little more time, but we’re so confident these babies are going to make amazing companions. Follow along to watch their transformations! by @foster.love.repeat

Grogu update. 💚

This little boy went in Thursday for FHO surgery on his hip, and it turns out he was dealing with way more than we knew. He also had breaks in his tail AND his knee 🥺

The vet decided to leave the tail alone since it wasn’t causing him any issues, but the knee needed help. So in addition to the FHO, they made a second incision and did a more complex repair with cross pins to stabilize the knee and give it the best shot at healing.

Right now Grogu is in full rest mode and on a few meds to minimize the pain and keep infection away. And through all of it? All he wants is to curl up in my lap and purr. 🥹 by @foster.love.repeat

Sandy & Danny are officially accepting applications!

These 2.5 month old siblings are the living definition of “we go together.” If one heads to the litter box, the other follows. Snack break? Both of them. Water run? Also both. Sandy’s a little shy with new people, so she takes her cues from Danny, who’s the more outgoing half of the duo.

They’re both super sweet, live for playtime (especially with the feather wand), and once they’ve zoomed themselves out, they’re all about lap snuggles.

We’d love for them to go home together! The adoption fee is $200 for both, and they come
✨ spayed/neutered
✨ up to date on age-appropriate vaccines
✨ FIV/FeLV tested
✨ flea treated & dewormed
✨ microchipped

Surgery day for little Grogu 💚

He’s getting FHO surgery today to fix his hip, and most cats bounce back from it really well, so I’m hopeful he’ll be zooming around on that leg soon.

He also has a broken tail, but since it isn’t painful or causing any problems, the vet says to leave it be. He’ll just have a permanent little kink in it, which honestly suits him.

This boy has been through so much for how young he is, and he’s still the sweetest. He’ll purr for literally anyone, strangers included. I hate that he’s had to go through all this, and I can’t wait to see him find his forever home once he’s healed, ideally with another playful cat who can keep up with his chaotic energy.

The vet squeezed him in last minute, so there’s no estimate yet, and this comes right after Felix, another LCH kitten, needed leg surgery earlier this week. Two surprise surgeries in one week is a lot for a small rescue.

Liberation Cat House is 100% nonprofit and volunteer-run, which means there’s no big budget behind these bills. It’s just people like you who make it possible for kittens like Grogu to get a second chance. If you’re able to give, there’s link in my bio or you can Venmo @liberationcathouse. And if you can’t, sharing this means so much too. 🫶 by @foster.love.repeat

$Meet Din Grogu, aka the Child! Grogu is just a baby at only 5 months old. He was adopted from the county shelter at the beginning of August, and last week his owner returned him with a broken leg, saying they couldn’t afford the medical costs. X-rays showed a femoral neck fracture in his back right leg. Despite all of that, this little guy is in great spirits and LOVES love. The second he sees you he starts purring, rubbing all over you, and trying to climb straight into your lap. He’s also super playful and curious about literally everything. He’s very much in his “what does this button do?” era. He’ll see our vet this week to figure out what his leg needs. Until then, we’ll be giving him lots of snuggles. He’s clingy in the best way, like Grogu with a frog. 💚 by @foster.love.repeat$

Sandy and Danny are growing up so fast and staying busy 24/7. 🐾 We’ll be opening applications for them in the next couple of weeks! by @foster.love.repeat

I wanted to share an update on my personal kitty, Cosette, a @liberationcathouse alum. 🖤

If you follow LCH, you’ve probably seen our foster Marian, who has hyperthyroidism. I shared with the other LCH directors my experience with my past cat Audrey’s I-131 (radioactive iodine) treatment, how it fully cured her and she lived 4 more years with zero meds. I said if I ever had another cat develop hyperthyroidism, I’d do I-131 again in a heartbeat.

And an hour later, Cosette’s vet called with her bloodwork results: hyperthyroidism. I think I jinxed myself, lol.

I-131 has a bigger upfront cost, but once you factor in ongoing meds, vet visits, bloodwork, and the stress of medicating twice a day, it’s absolutely worth it to me. I immediately called to schedule Cosette for I-131 treatment.

For treatment, Cosette went to stay for 3 nights at NuCat in Brandon, FL. They inject the radioactive iodine, which kills the abnormal thyroid cells and leaves the healthy ones alone. Radiation levels are checked daily, and cats go home once they’ve dropped enough (usually 3 nights). NuCat sent daily photo updates and they clearly spoil the kitties, they have nice large condos for them and Cosette even got her own tent bed when they noticed she was nervous.

After pickup, you just have to limit handling and dispose of waste carefully for a short window while residual radiation clears. Most cats’ thyroid levels go back to normal within a few weeks, which you confirm with follow-up bloodwork with your regular vet. NuCat has a 98% cure rate with a single treatment.

We’ll recheck Cosette’s T4 in a couple weeks. We caught it early, so I’m hopeful she’ll be fully cured too! Liberation is still raising money for Marian’s treatment, so please donate if you are able. It’s an amazing opportunity for her and I’ve seen it work firsthand! by @foster.love.repeat

Marshmallow has big news: he got his staples out today and he is heading to his forever home on Wednesday!

He’s been doing amazing as a tripod and seems happier without his bad leg weighing him down. He’s also come a LONG way in foster care, but he can still be shy with strangers. Thankfully his adopter has experience with shy kitties, and he will gain 2 kitty siblings in his new home. I’m so excited for this sweet boy to start his new life! 💞 by @foster.love.repeat

Meet Sandy & Danny, our resident troublemakers. They’ve been with us a couple weeks and decided to keep things interesting early on: upset stomachs, some weight loss, a whole ordeal that turned out to be tapeworms stubborn enough to need a second round of treatment.

Fast forward to now and they’re doing so much better. Sandy even came in with what we thought was flat chested kitten syndrome and has since grown out of it. Now these two are super entertaining, cuddly, and absolutely glued to each other.

They’re not quite ready for adoption apps yet, but give it a few weeks, they’ll be perfect for anyone looking for a pair of lap kittens full of personality! by @foster.love.repeat

Kinda chic to foster kitties with chronic medical conditions 💅

Haukea is staying with me for a bit and it’s been fun getting to know her. She’s such a unique, quirky little girl who def brings all of the main character energy. by @foster.love.repeat

Meet Griffin! He was adopted through us a few years ago, loved dearly, and now he's back with us again. He’s looking for a forever home to retire in.

We don't know his exact age, just that he's a senior who has earned every single one of his years. His foster calls him a "purr machine," and honestly, that tells you everything you need to know. He's sweet, he's chill, he gets along with other cats, and his idea of a perfect day is a nap in a sunny spot.

If you have a spare sunbeam in your home for Griffin, please message us for an adoption application! His adoption fee is $75. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and is FIV+.
