Little monkey 🥹 @foster2foreverkc

It feels like yesterday we were teaching Nalu her name. Now she’s racking up nicknames 🥲

I need to know your pups best nickname in the comments!!

They don’t expect us to stay anywhere v long anymore 😆

I’m blessed to have supportive in-laws that cheer on our crazy adventures and respect our life choice to not have kids…or settle down in one place. We’ve lived in every timezone and wouldn’t trade our experience for anything ♥️

Nalu is proof that a shelter dog can become your favorite little weirdo. 😋

@cleartheshelters is happening now, and there are so many pups just like her waiting for someone to see just how perfect they already are.

Go meet your local shelter dogs today, or choose a shelter and send them something special off their amazon wishlist! We love to do this for @kcpetproject

Clear the Shelters is a nationwide adoption event that brings communities together to help shelter pets find loving homes.

It’s more than just one day - every adoption opens up space, resources, and another chance for the next animal who needs help.

Since the initiative began in 2015, more than 1 million pets have found homes! 🥹

One adoption creates room for another life to be saved.

That ripple effect is pretty incredible 🫶🏽🌻

There’s several ways to support these efforts that meet you where you’re at: Donate. Share. Adopt. Foster. ♥️

She’s baaaccck 😻 @foster2foreverkc

Our girl did so well at the sitter for a whole week!! She was an awesome friend to the dogs that came in and out, including a cutie baby dachshund the sitter said she was very gentle with. She even warmed up to the humans in the house after a few days which was awesome to keep building her trust and confidence with people.

When we are all ready I know she will be an awesome foster sister and experiences likes this validate that 🫶🏽

We celebrated with a little river sunset at Blackfoot River. This campsite was awesome before a big 10 hour push to South Dakota!

We had planned this trip before Nalu, and once we rescued her we knew she had to be apart of it. We planned to drive from Kansas City, Mo >> Banff, BC with a music festival in Salmo, BC.

She’d be skipping the music festival, so I connected with a sitter in Montana who I really liked.

Miss Lulu will spend the next week playing with doggies (this is Scout!), going down to the river and enjoying pack walks all over Whitefish, MT.

This will be great for her, through her time at the foster - dogs were her safe space. She’s still learning to trust other humans and Gen and her family are perfect to build her confidence.

The rig is so quiet without you lady girl, we’ll see you soon 🥲

In Kalispell we stayed at Spruce on the River, which gave us direct access to flathead river. We were all mesmerized by how strong the current was. So many people kayaking and tubing into flathead lake, it was cool to watch from our little private beach.

We even saw a mama duck and her babies swim as fast as they could from the bank to the current to surf it into the lake. It was so damn cool.

Traveling to new spots in nature is so rewarding and the three of us love to soak up the special moments 🥰
