Clementine’s big afternoon out! After a week settling in as our foster pup, we’re beginning to introduce her to field trips, like visiting Estoria’s patio on a warm Sunday night.

The easy part of this is that Clem LOVES people, so she really enjoyed people watching and getting attention. The hard part is that it’s still a bit overwhelming for her, and she doesn’t get fully relaxed in public. When we got home, she cuddled into my shoulder and had the deepest sleep. Being brave is exhausting!

Foster of the month: Clementine!

When Clementine arrived at @fultonanimalservices she was extremely shy and fearful. She had a break with Weekend Warrior and we learned that she loves couches, calm dog friends, and people!

In foster with me, we’ve also learned that she’s good with cats! Clementine is still quite scared of the world, and would need a home with either a quiet neighborhood or humans with lots of patience (she did great on a hike, but is less of a good walker in busy blocks as they make her nervous) BUT everyday she becomes more brave! I have never seen her fear as aggressive, even with her legs shaking she still looks to humans for comfort.

Clementine is house trained and mostly crate trained. She is a velcro dog and loveees her people. She’s low energy and has never pulled on the leash!

Dog for the day with adoptable Darian!

He was a perfect hiking buddy and patio pup. He’s only a year and a half, but has a gentle and mature disposition. We didn’t hear him bark once! He has the softest coat and the best smile 🥰

Darian is dog friendly, and seems to prefer doing his business outside! He hasn’t met kids yet but I think he’d make a great family dog ❤️❤️

Here’s me and Rosebud, who was afraid to leave her kennel, but really happy to sit on my lap and get fed cheese. Every dog is a lap dog, right?

The “Patio Pup” trial is always so informative, Mojo passed with flying colors!
We spent some time hanging out at @dancinggoatscoffee and she didn’t bark, whine, or get antsy, even with other dogs around.

Mojo is a little unsure of loud car noises, and I think she still prefers the couch at home, but overall she did amazing, eventually falling asleep while I did some work.

I’d feel confident taking her to hang out anywhere, and she feels confident as long as she can be close to you ❤️🧸🐾🥰

Can you be Maggie’s forever? It’s so hard to see seniors overlooked in the shelter- especially when they are FREE to adopt in 2024!

Lilypad was my foster puppy when she was 1-2 months. We said goodbye when she was old enough to be adopted! Now, 4 months later, she is back at the shelter and so confused. Puppies are cute, but they are a commitment to time and patience.

Now, as a visually adult dog, it’s going to be so much harder for her to find her furever home. It’s special to reconnect with her, but also heartbreaking. She was just a little baby ❤️ I visit her in the shelter when I can, but otherwise she’s in a small crate waiting for the right person. Maybe it’s someone in your circle? Please share 🐾❤️
