A FIRST GLIMPSE OF WHERE FOUND IS HEADING. For the first time, the space came together in a way that felt close to how we imagine FOUND. Sound, light, material, scale and movement were treated as one environment rather than separate elements. Set within the grounds of Berlin’s historic Malzfabrik, FOUND occupies a series of industrial spaces shaped by more than a century of use. Halls, basements and outdoor areas allow the site to move between different scales and formats - club nights, concerts, dinner parties, pop-up events, conferences, installations and festivals. FOUND works with the architecture as it exists: its proportions, materials, traces and surroundings. PRSMC / FOUNDATION Longtime friend of the house and one of the people who makes FOUND happen. Stefan Damnig, aka @prsmc, is the founder of @foundation.berlin - and trying to describe what he does in a single job title is nearly impossible. From production and technical planning to light, sound, spatial design and the countless solutions that appear somewhere between an idea and actually making it happen, Stefan has become an integral part of how we work at FOUND. His work reaches across Berlin’s music and cultural landscape, including Porsche SCOPES, Nachti, Multisex and 1–06. At FOUND, his involvement goes far beyond individual events. He helps shape the spaces and productions from one format to the next, and also provides the sound system for the Basement. For FOUND: END OF SUMMER, Stefan and the Foundation team are once again right in the middle of it all. Not really one role. NNNN × OJAS | ON2 Sound is not an addition to the room. It shapes it. Created through the collaboration between NNNN and Devon Turnbull’s OJAS, ON2 brings a high-fidelity listening philosophy into a system conceived for the dancefloor. On September 25, four ON2 systems will be positioned symmetrically throughout the Hall, creating four points of sound around the dancefloor. Beneath it, eight NNNN AVANT30 subwoofers will form a single mono stack, creating a central low-frequency foundation for the room. The result is an approach to club sound built around clarity, dynamics and spatiality above - physical, unified low-end below.
