🦉✨ Presenting the cover of my 2025 wall calendar: “Soggy Owl”! This little owl braves the rain, perched in a tree among vibrant fall leaves 🍂, reminding us of the beauty and resilience found in nature. 🧡💧 Each page of the calendar is dedicated to celebrating the water cycle and our connection to the planet through mixed media collage.

Get yours now through my website and let’s honor the elements that unite us, one month at a time! 🌧️🌍

Hi, I’m Jordan Kim—artist, illustrator, ecologist, and the human behind Found & Rewound.

My mission is to inspire us to honor our connection with each other and the natural world. And lately, I’ve been reflecting on how to align that mission with my presence on social media in a way that feels authentic.

Like many of us, I feel both the pull to share and the need to step back. So, here’s what I’ve decided: I will continue to post about my artwork, exhibits, happenings, camps, and classes—because I love sharing those with you! But I won’t always be active in the comments or responding to messages here.

If you’d like to connect (and I truly hope you do!), please reach out the old-fashioned way—by email, text, or phone using the contacts in my bio. Or if you really want to go old old-fashioned, I absolutely love receiving snail mail! 🐌

I appreciate you all so much. Thank you for your support, your kindness, and for being part of this journey with me. Let’s be good to one another. 💛

Is it just me, or do shelves look a little lonely without art on them? 🌿

Good news: My 5"x5" wood-mounted art prints are here to help! They feature my original mixed media collages, all centered around our bond with the natural world (and each other). They are $45 each and designed to fit just about anywhere. You can hang them on the wall, or let them stand proud on a shelf, windowsill, or desk. If you have a tiny nook looking for some love, these little blocks are ready for the job.

You can find them right now @artonoak in Hood River! If you aren't local to the area but want one for yourself or as a gift, just send me a message—I’m happy to pop it in the mail for you! 💌

I love the story held inside a single stump — years of drought, fire, and abundance written in wood. Naturalist quotes are layered into the rings of this piece. Like reading a palm, tracing tree rings connects us to a story far older, and far wider, than our own.

As a beekeeper, one of the most awe inspiring moments is pulling loaded honey frames from my hive. Did you know that each honeybee only makes about 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in her lifetime? One frame of honey weights about 9 pounds and holds about a quart of honey! Last year I harvested about 3 gallons of honey from my one hive. Talk about the power of collective effort! They are so awe inspiring.

🗳Remember to register to vote friends. In Oregon, the deadline is October 13, 2026.

If we are to make change, we have to think of each other - working together for the greater good. Remember that we share this planet with a lot of non-human residents who cannot vote on our actions. A starling murmuration moves as one, each bird syncing to just seven neighbors, yet the whole flock turns like a single mind.
